Sydney Sweeney Slays in a Sheer Dress with a Twist: PHOTOS

The sheer dress trend is going strong and has been embraced by stars like Jenna Ortega and Mia Goth, as well as Dakota Johnson and Charli XCX. That’s not to mention Sydney Sweeney, who showed up in a sheer look for the “Christy” Headline Gala at the 69th BFI London Film Festival at The Royal Festival Hall in London on October 17. Granted, her sheer dress featured a bit of a twist.

Instead of being a completely sheer dress matched with a bra and panties, Sydney’s ensemble included both sheer and non-sheer sections. The upper and lower parts of the gown featured a light pink lace fabric, while the middle was a corset design that was not see-through at all.

This Isn’t the First Time Sydney Has Embraced a Sheer Look

Although Sydney isn’t always known to embrace a fully sheer look, she has shown up to industry events in semi-sheer outfits.

For instance, she confidently stood in front of the cameras in a sheer white dress at the Sydney screening of “Anyone But You” in December 2023.

The sheer style is certainly popular. Whether you like it or not, it’s been around for a while now and doesn’t seem like it will be going anywhere anytime soon.
