“Real Housewives” star Kyle Richards set the record straight on rumors about her dating life nearly three years after her separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky. On the second part of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion, which aired on April 30, the Bravo TV veteran clarified that while she did fall in love with someone after her split from Umansky, she has been single for a while now. She also reiterated that she did not temporarily end a romantic relationship just because she was filming the reality show.
“I’ve made that very clear that I’m single,” Richards said, “That wasn’t a thing.”
In December, Richards’ co-star Dorit Kemsley appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” and hinted that the RHOBH OG pauses her relationship when Bravo’s cameras are up. “I think that that sort of happens when she’s filming,” Kemsley claimed on the December 11 episode of Andy Cohen’s talk show. While she didn’t name Richards’ romantic partner, there have long been rumors that the mom of four was romantically involved with country singer Morgan Wade.

At the RHOBH reunion, Richards confirmed she was in a good place and no longer felt heartbroken by the end of her relationship. She also explained that she didn’t choose the TV show over her former flame, who wanted to keep their relationship private.
“There wasn’t an ultimatum or anything like that. And I didn’t say, ‘I’m choosing a television show over this person.’ It wasn’t like that,” she said.
As for why she kept the relationship off camera, Richards defended how much of her personal life she has shared with fans over her 15 seasons on RHOBH.
“I’ve given and shown so much of my life over these 15 years. And people will focus on that one little thing and say, ‘Oh she’s not sharing.’ I’ve shared so much of my life,” she said. “I mean, not everything is, you know, up for public consumption, as Lisa Vanderpump would say.”
Kyle Richards Is Not Always Comfortable With Mauricio’s Single Life
Richards also touched on Umansky’s new life as a single man, which he has not kept private. The Agency founder has been photographed on multiple dates over the past two years, and he didn’t hold back on checking out women when he was with Richards at a party in Aspen over the holidays.
“I think, for a second, he forgot that I’ve been his wife for 30 years, even though we’re separated, and was just sort of, like, doing his thing,” Richards recalled during the reunion. “And I was witnessing him be this single guy right in front of me. I wanted to be like, ‘What are you doing? I’m standing right here.'”
Co-star Rachel Zoe chimed in to note that she ran into Umansky in Aspen and that he’s “living a very different life” than Richards. “He lives a totally different life,” she added. “I see him, like, three times a week. I see him everywhere.”
Last fall, Umansky told People magazine that he was in his “dating” era. “I’m alone. I’m single, I’m dating. I guess that’s my era,” he said, adding that his daughters want him to be happy, but “be age appropriate.” “They want me not to be photographed and be out there, particularly with somebody I’m just on a first date with or something like that,” he shared.
While Umansky is living the single life, Richards isn’t rushing to file for divorce— because she likes that they remain in a friendly relationship.
“I like the way it is,” Richards admitted on the reunion episode. “We can have dinner. You know, he goes to his room, I go to my room. And, you know, we wake up and we have coffee in the morning, talk about what we’re gonna do. We go skiing, and like…”
“It would change [if we divorced],” the RHOBH star added. “And it would be scary if it changed.”
