After a break from new episodes of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24, we are back with a new episode tonight. The pressure will be on for the remaining chefs on “Hell’s Kitchen” 2026 tonight. Chef Gordon Ramsay will be putting them to the test, as we will have a battle for black jackets. However, will this result in a double elimination tonight, as seven chefs remain and only five jackets are available? Black Jacket Time
The remaining chefs on “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States” are back in the kitchen. The Red Team was riding another high last time on “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24. They killed another dinner service and found themselves saved for another week.
For tonight, the chefs are going to be surprised by some WWE superstars. They are champions, and to be a champion on “Hell’s Kitchen,” you need a black jacket. To get them, they will face some of the most cut-throat challenges of the season. The fight to be named the winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24 continues tonight. January 1 Live Recap – Week 12

New Day, Fresh Start
We start a new day and see the chefs cooking some breakfast. Jada and Anaiya seem to have formed a friendship, like sisters.
Did Someone Say Champion?
The chefs meet Gordon Ramsay, who is talking about being a champion and winning season 24. Then he is joined by Big E, Liv Morgan, and Braun Strowman. It’s black jacket day. Chef Ramsay said seven chefs are remaining, but only five black jackets to hand out!
For the black jackets, the chefs will be working through three challenges. After each challenge, either one or two chefs will receive a black jacket.
For the first challenge, the chefs have 45 minutes to create a dish that represents their state, since this is the Battle of the States on “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24.
The chefs are working through their dishes. Lisa is making a seafood dish, but is allergic. That means she can’t taste it!
Tasting on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’
The chefs put their dishes together, as it’s now time for Chef Ramsay to taste them:
- Cydni – He said the crust is delicious, but the meat is a touch overcooked.
- Anthony – He said the pork belly is a bit tough, but the dish is certainly elevated.
- Anaiya – He said the flavors are there, but the saffron is too much.
- Ellie – He said the pork is cooked beautifully. Everything on the plate works, and it harmonizes beautifully.
- Henry – Chef Ramsay said the steak is a touch overcooked, but it’s a really good dish.
After five dishes, Chef Ramsay said he wants to hand out a black jacket. He loved Ellie’s dish, so she got a black jacket! Back to the tasting:
- Jada – He said she elevated the dish, and it has that citrus, Florida taste.
- Lisa – Chef Ramsay said the flavors are bold. The rice needs another 60 seconds, but the dish is hers, and kudos.
Chef Ramsay wants to give out another black jacket. He gives the second one to Jada, as he said her dish was flawless!
Second Challenge
Now the five remaining chefs will be working on the next challenge. Connecticut is the host for this season, so the chefs will be making a pizza. They have to put their own twist on the pizza and elevate it.
Anaiya seems to be shocked that she didn’t get a black jacket in the first challenge, so it’s getting into her mind on this challenge. Henry is confident in his pizza-making skills. Cydni is putting shrimp and goat cheese on her pizza.
Anthony puts his pizza in the pizza oven and then goes to work on something else. Yeah, his pizza is burnt when he brings it out. The bottom is burnt, but he has no time to adjust and is trying to make it work. Cydni puts hers in so late, but they all get it out in time!
Tasting – Second Challenge
Time for Chef Ramsay to taste the pizzas:
- Lisa – Chef Ramsay said he thought it was plain Jane, but he got the essence, and she did a really good job.
- Henry – He said he got a good pizza, but be sure when he adds figs, they aren’t wet. It makes the whole pizza soggy.
- Anthony – He said it’s hard to taste the clams, and the bottom is burnt. It’s pure burnt flavor, which is a shame because he loved the flavor.
- Cydni – Chef Ramsay said it looks underwhelming, but it’s good. It’s cooked beautifully.
- Anaiya – He said the tomato was a bit of an afterthought. It’s a good pizza, and the crust is lovely.
Time to hand out more black jackets. The next person to get one is Cydni! He also gives a black jacket to Lisa!
Final Challenge for Black Jackets
We are down to Anaiya, Anthony, and Henry, and one black jacket is up for grabs. For this final challenge on “Hell’s Kitchen” 2026, the chefs will all be cooking with the same seven ingredients: apple, mustard greens, elk tenderloin, rhubarb, Idaho potatoes, Crown Royal, and almonds.
The chefs can make anything they want, but have to use all of these ingredients. Chef Ramsay wants them to use their imagination on this challenge.
Anthony seems to be keeping his cool on this one. However, Anaiya is struggling. She is getting into her own head, overthinking everything.
The elk is throwing them off, as most haven’t cooked with it before. The time runs out, and the chefs get their dishes plated and ready for Chef Ramsay to taste.
Final Tasting & Results
Time for Chef Ramsay to taste the final dishes of the night on “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24:
- Henry – Chef Ramsay said it looks beautiful. The elk is cooked beautifully, but the greens have this after-lingering, greasy effect.
- Anaiya – He said visually, it looks beautiful. The greens are delicious. A touch more cream and butter in the mash, and the almonds are toasted beautifully.
- Anthony – He said the cook is beautiful on the elk. Be careful with the garlic in the greens, but the cook is beautiful.
After thinking about all of the dishes, Chef Ramsay gives the final black jacket to Anaiya. That means Henry and Anthony have been eliminated tonight! Yes, five chefs left and all women and they are in the Black Jacket Lounge celebrating with Chef Ramsay!
