Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Next Level Baker’ Debuts December 4

“Next Level Baker,” a holiday-themed baking competition from the team behind “Next Level Chef,” will premiere on December 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. The limited event series introduces 12 bakers who will compete in a festive winter-themed kitchen for a cash prize and the title of the show’s first champion.

The four-episode run adapts the structure of the original franchise but adds seasonal flavors and high-pressure holiday challenges. FOX described the series as a short, high-stakes format that blends nostalgia, technical skill, and the chaos that often accompanies holiday baking. The network said the competition will highlight a mix of professional bakers, home cooks, and social media creators.

‘Next Level Baker’ Features a Mix of Bakers & Mentors

The cast features a range of experience levels, including professional bakers such as Maricsa Trejo of Texas and online creator Nikita “Nikki” Jackson. Give Me My Remote reported that contestants come from across the United States and bring backgrounds in pastry work, café ownership, and digital baking instruction.

The show keeps the familiar three-level kitchen from “Next Level Chef.” FOX said the set has been redesigned as a winter wonderland. The bottom level offers a basic workspace. The middle level features a standard home kitchen. The top level includes a professional setup with top-tier equipment.

Gordon Ramsay returns as host and mentor. He will be joined by Carla Hall and Candace Nelson. Parade reported that the network brought them on to give contestants guidance from both culinary and dessert-focused perspectives. Hall is known for her work on “Top Chef” and “The Chew.” Nelson co-founded a popular cupcake bakery and has served as a baking show judge.

High Stakes in a Short Season

The competition will open with a challenge focused on nostalgic chocolate desserts. FOX said the episode establishes the tone for the season, signaling that creativity and technical skill will determine which bakers advance. Subsequent rounds will feature holiday party desserts, including bakes that incorporate festive spirits, according to Parade.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $25,000 and a professional cookware package. With only four episodes, the format leaves little room for error. Each elimination raises the pressure as bakers attempt to prove themselves capable of handling the constraints of the tiered kitchen and the intensity of holiday-themed briefs.

The show arrives at a time when audiences often turn to comfort television, especially programs centered on food and creativity. Give Me My Remote noted that holiday baking competitions have continued to grow in popularity as viewers look for familiar seasonal entertainment.

“Next Level Baker” aims to capture that appeal with its mix of personality-driven storytelling, technical challenges, and the unpredictable nature of live-action baking. When the ovens open on Dec. 4, the competition will test who can rise to the occasion and who will crumble under the holiday pressure.
