Jesse Williams, who famously portrays “Grey’s Anatomy” hottie Jackson Avery, is going to be a dad for the third time.
The actor’s wife, Spanish model and actress Alex Onieva, shared a pregnancy announcement on Instagram on May 18, 2025. In the first photo of an Instagram Carousel, the 33-year-old debuted her bump to social media in a tight black dress. Scroll to the fourth slide for a video clip of the actress giving a better view in a sporty red dress.
Williams, 44, privately married Onieva a few months ago, TMZ reported they learned from sources in early May.
The couple reportedly met in 2025 while acting together in the Prime Video action thriller “Hotel Costiera” in Italy.
The “Grey’s” heartthrob and his new wife have kept their relationship rather lowkey, and haven’t posted each other on their social media accounts. However, they have been spotted together by the paparazzi a few times.
Williams’ marriage to Onieva is his second. He was previously married to Aryn Drake-Lee, a real estate broker and entrepreneur, from 2012 to 2020. The pair separated in 2017 before finalizing their divorce 3 years later. They share two preteen children.
Is ‘Hotel Costiera’ Coming Back for Season 2?
“Hotel Costiera,” an action adventure in which Williams plays a former marine who is sent on a quest to find the missing daughter of his hotel owner boss, received a 90% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has been called “frothy, low-impact escapism” by The Hollywood Reporter.
On December 10, 2025, Deadline reported the show has not been picked up by Prime for a second season, despite hitting the number one spot on Prime in the U.S. and remaining in the top 10 for several weeks.
However, the latest word suggests there’s still a possibility the series could come back, because Deadline reported Fremantle, who holds the rights, was shopping it in other territories.
Jesse Williams Recently Recently Signed on as an Executive Producer for Documentary About Famous Michael Jackson Photographer
Fans have a chance to come face-to-face with Williams at a screen of the documentary film “Black is Beautiful,” which Wayfarer is collaborating on with Misfits Entertainment and Mediawan on May 27 at the California African American Museum.
In March 2026, Deadline reported “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams has signed on as an executive producer of the project. Alicia Keys has joined in the same role. The film covers the life of photographer Kwame Brathwaite, who famously photographed the Jackson 5 among many other stars.
Wayfarer celebrated the news on their Instagram page, writing, “We are excited to announce Jesse Williams as an Executive Producer on Black Is Beautiful: The Kwame Brathwaite Story!
Actor. Activist. Entrepreneur. And now, Executive Producer. We’re thrilled to have him on board, shining a light on the impact of Kwame Brathwaite and the Black is Beautiful movement.”
The film has already been completed, but has not yet been widely distributed. However, it has made strong impressions of the festival circuit, starting with its October 2025 premiere at the BFI London Film Festival.
