Rebecca Gayheart, the estranged widow of late “Grey’s Anatomy” hunk Eric Dane, has parted ways with her mogul boyfriend Peter Morton, a new Page Six report says.
Dane was married to Gayheart, an actress who memorably played blind patient Natasha Charles on “Nip Tuck,” from 2004 until his death. The pair were no longer romantic partners towards the end of Dane’s life, as Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018. She rescinded the divorce petition after learning of Dane’s terminal ALS diagnosis, People says.
Report Says Rebecca Gayheart Split Up With Billionaire Peter Morton In 2025

Page Six says they exclusively learned form sources that Gayheart parted ways with Morton, an extremely successful restauranteur who co-founded the Hard Rock Cafe, in 2025, which was prior to the February 19, 2026 death of Eric Dane. Morton is the son of Arnie Morton, who founded the famous Morton’s Steakhouse brand.
The outlet points out their relationship first gained public notice in 2023 when they were spotted out in Los Angeles with Claudia Schiffer and her husband Matthew Vaughn.
The report says the source told them the quiet split, which went unnoticed by the press until now, happened nearly a year ago in April 2025.
Although the pair were seen in December 2025 greeting each other with a quick kiss, Page Six says their source explained it wasn’t a date, and the exes were simply catching up during a chance run-in. “They are still friendly,” the report quotes the source as saying.
Eric Dane’s Widow & Daughters Made Their First Public Appearance Since Eric Dane’s Death On March 17
Gayheart and the daughters she welcomed with Dane in the early 2010s stepped out looking gorgeous in early March for the premiere of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s new film “The Drama.” Dane was Zendaya’s costar on the smash hit HBO drama “Euphoria,” wrapping his final scenes for the upcoming third season mere weeks before his death.
The show’s creator Sam Levinson honored Dane after his death with a kind statement which read, “I’m heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift. Eric’s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing.”
Dane said in a June 2025 Variety interview that his role in the series as the multi-faceted father of Jacob Elordi’s character Nate was the first time he “felt like an artist.”
