Hallmark fans and stars alike are pumped about the news that Hallmark has signed a new, multi-year “output” deal.
First revealed by The Hollywood Reporter (THR) on September 23, 2025, the agreement means original Hallmark programming, including “The Way Home” and certain rom-coms, will reach a wider audience in the U.S. and globally via Netflix.
Which Hallmark Programs Will Be Available on Netflix & When?
HallmarkAs part of the new deal, per THR, the first two seasons of Hallmark’s time-traveling family series “The Way Home” will be available to stream via Netflix in the U.S. starting on October 1, followed by the third season in February 2026. The fourth season, which the cast has been busy filming, will appear on Netflix in late 2026, after it debuts on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+.
Hallmark will also provide Netflix with a number of its classic Valentine’s Day movies to debut in January 2026 including Lacey Chabert and Robert Buckley’s “An Unexpected Valentine,” “Sisterhood, Inc.” with Rachael Leigh Cook, “The Royal We” starring Mallory Jansen, “Hats Off to Love” with Ginna Claire Mason and Holly Robinson Peete, and Paul Greene’s “Love in the Clouds.”
Valentine’s Day isn’t the only holiday being celebrated in the deal, though. It will also bring several Christmas movies on board, likely to thrill viewers outside the U.S. who often don’t have access to Hallmark’s holiday fare. From November through January, several recent Christmas favorites will appear on Netflix, including “Haul Out the Holly,” “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up,” “All I Need for Christmas,” Heather Hemmens’ “Christmas Under the Lights,” and Nikki DeLoach and Warren Christie’s “Our Holiday Story.”
All of that programming will still be available on Hallmark+ and periodic screenings on Hallmark Channel, while also being accessible via Netflix.
Jesse Wallace, senior VP and head of distribution at Hallmark Media, told THR, “We remain committed to our core mission at Hallmark, which is to spread joy and positivity through the world with our critically acclaimed movie and episodic content. The global reach of Netflix is unparalleled, and we are excited to expose our content to new and existing Hallmark fans on Netflix.”

HallmarkNotably, “Haul Out the Holly” and “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up” were among the 10 Hallmark holiday movies that appeared on Netflix in December 2024, which was deemed a big success. Wallace told THR that offering films on Netflix actually boosted viewership on the cable channle and “Hallmark+ engagement.”
Multiple Hallmark stars celebrated the news about Hallmark and Netflix’s new deal via social media, including cast members from “The Way Home.”
Evan Williams shared a post about the deal in his Instagram Stories on September 23 and wrote, “Whaaaaaaaat WE’RE COMIN’ TO NETFLIX!?! Couldn’t be more thrilled by this news.”
