Hallmark hunk Nolan Funk was “too handsome to handle” at the amFar gala in Venice, Italy, on August 31, 2025. That’s how one fan described a video of the actor looking dashing on the red carpet.
Funk, who starred in the 2024 Hallmark Christmas movie “Five Gold Rings” with Holland Roden, was dressed to the nines on the red carpet, looking dashing in a Dolce Gabbana tuxedo before helping to raise $3.4 million for amFar’s AIDS research and HIV prevention programs, per the Associated Press.
Nolan Funk Had Music on the Mind at amFar Gala
Held annually during the Venice Film Festival, the 2025 amFar Gala Venezia was hosted by actor Colman Domingo and attracted celebrity supporters including Halsey, Jude Law, Sofia Carson, and Jesse Williams.
In an Instagram video shared by amFar from the red carpet, Funk was asked what his favorite song of the summer is. His answer? “Nice to Each Other” by Olivia Dean, which he said is “perfect because we’re in Italy right now.”
Funk also told Getty in a red carpet interview that he was most looking forward to the night’s musical performances by Ava Max and Paris Jackson.
“I’m definitely, definitely stoked for the music,” Funk said. “So excited to see Ava and Paris perform.”
But, of course, most important was the night’s mission to raise money for important research and awareness campaigns.
He told Getty, “amFar has obviously raised…almost a billion dollars for HIV research, and now they’re also tackling cancer, which I think is equally important. So, I think this is a great organization that’s made a huge impact on the world in a great way, and also they know how to pivot and expand that reach. I think it’s a really exciting time for amFar.”
Will Nolan Funk Return to Hallmark?
GettyFunk is likely best known for his roles on “Glee” and “Awkward,” and being named the face of Versace in 2013, per Marie Claire.
It’s not clear if Funk will return to Hallmark for a 2025 Christmas movie. “Five Gold Rings” was his first foray into the Hallmark universe, and he was included in the network’s East Coast Jingle Stop bus tour featuring many of its biggest stars.
“Hallmark is all about feeling good,” he told Digital Journal before the “Five Gold Rings” premiere. “This is my first Hallmark movie, and it is nice to be a part of this family. It feels great. Not only is this my first Hallmark film, it’s my first Christmas movie.”
