Great minds think alike, or a bad sign? Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel got married to their partners in 2013. There was an important detail that Strong, 46, overlooked while planning the wedding. Fishel has a different outlook on their identical wedding dates years later.
Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong Got Married on the Same Weekend
GettyThe “Boy Meets World” cast has stayed in touch, so it was a given that they would get wedding invites. But Strong made a big mistake picking Oct. 20 to get married in Oregon with Alexandra Barreto. Fishel got married to Tim Belusko on Oct. 19 in California.
“[Before ‘Girl Meets World’] we had been hanging out and that was when I, you know, decided to have my wedding on the same day that Danielle had already set her wedding date,” Rider said on the “Pod Meets World” podcast.
“But you know what? Honestly, I just should have taken that as a sign and just not had a wedding,” Fishel said. The marriage ended with a divorce in 2016. Will Friedle joked that she could’ve skipped her wedding to go to Strong’s ceremony.
Strong and his wife will celebrate 13 years of marriage this year. He posted Instagram pictures of themselves enjoying a campfire on the beach for their anniversary last year.
“When you’re young and in love, you build a fire on the beach and wait for the stars. Twelve years later, you build the same fire — and debate how many hot dogs your kid can eat. Happy anniversary @barretoalex,” the actor captioned the pictures.
The married couple met while acting in the TV series “Pepper Dennis.” The comedy followed a reporter named Pepper Dennis (Rebecca Romijn) trying to become a top news anchor. Strong played Chick, who was part of her news team, and Barreto played Blanca Martinez. The couple has a 10-year-old son named Indigo “Indy” Barreto Strong.
Who is Danielle Fishel’s Husband, Jensen Karp?
Fishel and Jensen Karp met at Calabasas High School as students. He posted a picture of them looking at each other on Instagram in 2018 to announce the next step in their relationship.
“We got engaged today. I don’t have anything witty or funny to say to accompany this picture. She is just the greatest person in the world and to imagine someone I went to high school with was always my person, is remarkable. You never know,” he captioned the post.
The couple tied the knot in 2018 and have two sons named Adler and Keaton. Fishel previously talked about a change she would make to that wedding on the podcast earlier this year.
“The only thing I think I would change is there are some people that were invited to my wedding who would not be invited now,” she said, according to People. “There were people that were invited that I didn’t really want to invite even then, but I felt obligation to invite. Now it would be like, no obligation here, ‘Get the hell out.'”
Karp, 46, is the executive producer of “Pod Meets World.” He also produced TV shows and recently the Tubi movie “Classmates.”
That wedding allowed different wedding guests. John Mayer performed at it, and Sabrina Carpenter was a bridesmaid.
