Danielle Fishel Nominates ‘Boy Meets World’ Co-Star For ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Dancing With the Stars” loves casting contestants who spark nostalgia with viewers. During season 34, “Boy Meets World” icon Danielle Fishel secured many votes from her loyal fans. “Boy Meets World” concluded 26 years ago, but it still holds a special place in viewers’ hearts after all this time.

Without a doubt, the casting process for “DWTS” season 35 is underway. As producers scout for the best talent, Danielle Fishel admits she’d love to see another “Boy Meets World” star step into the ballroom.

Danielle Fishel Taps Her Long-Time Friend to Join “DWTS”

In the summer of 2022, “Boy Meets World” stars Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle launched the “Pod Meets World” podcast. In each episode, they rewatch moments from their show and provide commentary for eager listeners.

During “DWTS” season 34, Rider and Will encouraged fans to keep voting for Danielle. While she and Pasha Pashkov didn’t win the Mirrorball Trophy, they had an outpouring of love and support.

In a recent interview, Parade asked Danielle Fishel to nominate a “Boy Meets World” co-star for “Dancing With the Stars.” The choice was easy.

“I do really think Will Friedle should do ‘Dancing with the Stars,'” Danielle decided. “Mostly because he swears he cannot dance at all. He’s like, ‘I’m a terrible dancer,’ and I think that makes for the best television. And I think he has no idea how good these pros are and what they’d be able to get out of him.”

Danielle went on to say she thinks Will Friedle would have a tremendous amount of growth during the competition.

“I think his trajectory of where he would start to where he would finish would be so inspiring,” the actress declared. “I think they could make him a decent dancer. From where he’s gonna start to where he’s gonna end is gonna be quite a difference. I would really love to see him on the show.”

The “Boy Meets World” Cast Cheered For the 90s Icon

During her run on “Dancing With the Stars,” Danielle Fishel received an overwhelming amount of support from her former “Boy Meets World” co-stars.

Although William Daniels likely won’t have his own turn on “Dancing With the Stars,” fans felt delighted to see him make a cameo to dance with Danielle. The 98-year-old actor made an appearance during Danielle’s dedication night jive to the “Boy Meets World” theme song.

Of course, many members of the “Boy Meets World” cast attended the live performance to support them.

Time will tell if Will Friedle, Rider Strong, or another “Boy Meets World” alum will join “DWTS” this fall. However, fans would love to see any member of the cast compete for the Mirrorball Trophy.

“Pod Meets World” puts out new episodes weekly on iHeartRadio. Fans expect to see “Dancing With the Stars” back on ABC this September.
