New Court Docs Signal Progress for Kelley Wolf & Scott Wolf After ‘Hardest Year’

New court documents reveal some positive signs for “Real World” alum Kelley Wolf and her husband, “Doc” star and Hallmark fan-favorite Scott Wolf, following a tumultuous few months for their family.

On January 29, 2026, People reported that a Utah judge dismissed charges against Kelley that stemmed from her alleged harassment of Scott and her alleged violation of a protective order that was granted in August 2025 — two months after they separately announced they were splitting after 21 years of marriage. The judge’s ruling signals that things continue to improve for Kelley, who was placed in a court-ordered mental health program in the fall and, according to People, is now cooperating with prosecutors.

Attorney Says Scott Wolf & Kelley Wolf Have Been Working Together to Resolve Cases Against Her

On January 27, a judge granted a motion from the Summit County District Attorney’s Office to dismiss the cases against Kelley without prejudice and “as part of a global resolution,” per People.

The news comes nearly two months after Scott dropped his restraining order on December 3 and made an oral request for a Utah judge to dismiss all protective orders against Kelley. People reported at the time that “the case was then dismissed, and any protective orders issued have been declared null and void,” but this makes that move official.

Kelley also faces three charges — one count of misdemeanor electronic communication harassment and two counts of misdemeanor electronic disclosure of personal identifying information — from August, when she posted personal information about Scott and others on social media, including releasing his private phone number, per People.

A hearing on those charges was scheduled for January 27, according to Entertainment Weekly. But several days before that, Kelley’s attorney, Mark Moffat, requested a continuance, noting that “both sides” have been working toward a “global resolution of all cases,” per People. The court agreed to delay any decisions for another six months, until July 28. It is not clear where things stand with Scott’s June divorce filing.

Scott Wolf Called 2025 the ‘Hardest Year of My Life’

Scott kicked off 2026 by posting a photo of a dumpster fire on social media and writing, “Grateful for the hardest year of my life. The curriculum was brutal for those I love most. There was suffering, learning, growing, loving, laughing, crying. Mostly learning and growing. In other words, life.”

The “A Merry Scottish Christmas” star continued, “I think we passed. I love my people more than ever. I love people more than ever. I love my work more than ever. So the hardest year brought the most love. Life indeed. Wishing you all a 2026 full of love. ❤️”

Back in early June, Kelley was the first to announce her and Scott’s breakup via social media, but she quickly found herself in dire straits, detained by police at a local resort, and placed under a psychiatric hold after authorities were alerted about concerning behavior.

Released days later, she blamed a group of friends for her detainment and continued to spiral, posting frantic and confusing messages on social media as friends and family attempted to help. By late June, Scott was granted a temporary restraining order and physical custody of their three children.

Kelley was detained again in August, and a judge issued a protective order against her on August 28, when she was released from jail, per Entertainment Weekly. The order forbade her from contacting Scott or their children beyond scheduled mediation sessions with a court-appointed mediator.

In September, Kelley was admitted to a mental health hospital in Utah after allegedly threatening to harm Scott and herself, People reported. Days later, a judge ordered a minimum 60-day, involuntary psychiatric hold.

It is not clear where Kelley is currently living, but Scott was thrilled to be back on FOX’s hit show “Doc” on January 20 and even directed a recent episode.

  1. I am glad to see things working out. Just protect the children and make sure Kelly is taking her meds. I am sorry but I would not let her be alone with my children. She would have to be mentally clear for a couple of years for me to do that after all that she did.
