Will ‘Down Home Fab’ Return for Season 4? Here’s What We Know

Down Home Fab” has been one of HGTV‘s biggest success stories in recent years. But with Season 3 wrapped and no word from the network, fans are wondering whether Chelsea and Cole DeBoer will be back for a fourth season.

Ratings Show ‘Down Home Fab’ Is a Hit for HGTV

The show has delivered for HGTV at every turn. Season 1 attracted more than 6 million viewers and became HGTV’s highest-rated freshman series since May 2022, prompting a mid-season renewal after just three episodes, according to HGTV. Season 2 topped that with 7.3 million viewers. Those aren’t numbers a network typically walks away from. Still, that hasn’t guaranteed its future.

When Chelsea found out Season 2 was greenlit, she got emotional on a recorded FaceTime call with producers. She told TV Insider, “You guys don’t understand how much this means to us.” The DeBoers have made clear this show is not just a job for them.

What Chelsea & Cole DeBoer Have Said

Chelsea has not been quiet about where she stands on the show’s future. “We say all the time that we want to do this show forever,” she told Yahoo! ahead of the Season 3 premiere. “It means so much to us, and we’re just having the best time.”

Cole echoed that. “I love being able to work with my wife every day,” he said. “In the meantime, we love the chaos.”

As recently as November 2025, Chelsea told Us Weekly that three seasons in, she finally feels like she belongs. “Coming into the HGTV world, we were new to the game, and we were just new to remodeling in general. Getting that confidence over the last three years, I’m like, OK, now we’re here, and we deserve to be here,” she said.

Has HGTV Renewed ‘Down Home Fab’ for Season 4?

Despite all of that, HGTV has not confirmed a Season 4 renewal. Season 3 premiered in May 2025, and there has been no word from the network on the show’s future since. That silence has left fans eager for updates, especially after HGTV canceled at least seven renovation shows in 2025, including fan favorites like “Bargain Block” and “Farmhouse Fixer.”

The DeBoers have not been sitting still in the meantime. Chelsea has 6.6 million followers on Instagram, and the couple continues to post regularly about their home decor store in Sioux Falls, their family farm, and their four kids. Their store, Down Home by DeBoers, just celebrated its second anniversary in March.

Why Fans Think Season 4 Will Happen

Viewership heading into Season 3 was strong, and the DeBoers have built something real beyond the show itself. Their brand has grown steadily, their social media following is massive, and their community connection in Sioux Falls has only deepened.

Cole summed up what keeps them going. “We feel so grateful for the support we’ve had in Sioux Falls, and the amount of people that come up to us when we’re out, that watch us on both of our shows,” he told Yahoo! “We just love Sioux Falls.”

For now, fans will have to wait for HGTV to make an official call on Season 4.

  1. HGTV has made a total mess of their programing. I used to watch the show 7 days a week, now I watch maybe 2 days on a good week. Thanks so much for messing with some great shows.

  2. They’ve screwed around with HGTV, Food Network went all competition games and Magnolia Network doesn’t have anything interesting on it.

  3. It’s one of my very favorite shows on HGTV. They are both so talented. Chesea is so original in decorating. They must return!
