“The Flip Off” hosts Heather Rae, 38, and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, 44, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram for their 3-year-old son, Tristan. As the couple honored their firstborn’s birthday, they reflected on how being parents changed them for the better.
“To My earth angel, my sweet Tristan bear. while I was preparing this birthday post for you I was looking through all of our photos from the day you were born…. and it makes me emotional because I cannot believe that my baby boy is 3 today,” Heather Rae wrote alongside a video of some of their most memorable moments together.
‘You Are My Calm and My Peace’
Heather Rae elaborated on how Tristan has created a sense of peace for her, saying, “You have changed me in the most beautiful ways. you light up every room that you are in, and you light my heart up all day every single day! in a world full of chaos you are my calm and my peace.”
She continued, “I love you so insanely much my little bestie. love being your mama, and I’m so grateful your soul chose me. You have made this life so fulfilling and beautiful. Happy 3rd birthday my baby boy. Love your mommy.”

GettyTarek also wrote a touching message for their son, explaining how Tristan has changed his life for the better. “How unexpected and wonderful… no other way to explain my Tristan Bear,” he wrote. “He’s in love with his momma, he’s obsessed with his brother, and gets so excited to play with his big sister! For me… he has brought out a side of me I never expected in my 40’s and I couldn’t be happier!”
Tarek ended his sweet message by saying, “All of us and our families are obsessed with this boy and for good reason:). You would never think lightning would strike three times but it happened for me. Love your dad and the world, happy 3rd birthday boo boo bear!”
Heather Rae and Tarek welcomed Tristan in 2023, two years after they tied the knot in October 2021. Before becoming a couple, Tarek welcomed his two oldest children, Taylor Reese in 2010 and Brayden James in 2015, with his ex-wife, Christina Haack, People reports.
According to TV Insider, Heather Rae, Tarek and Christina were given the green light for season 2 of “The Flip Off.” While there has not been an exact premiere date revealed, new episodes of the hit HGTV series are confirmed for 2026.
