Tarek El Moussa says his wife Heather Rae El Moussa and ex-wife Christina Haack are ganging up on him.
The HGTV star put up a fun post on Instagram to make his cases. In the video, it shows behind-the-scenes footage of the trio filming a post about “The Flip Off” being renewed for season two.
The caption reads, “when we’re filming and my wife & ex-wife start teaming up against me… 😂”
The video shows Tarek laughing as he’s clearly getting told off by both women, with Christina even stamping her foot at one point. In the post, Tarek writes, “This is going to be a long second season. #TheFlipOff 😂🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻”
Getting teamed up against just MIGHT be something Tarek El Moussa has to get used to.
Tarek, Heather & Christina Hint at New Teams for ‘The Flip Off’ Season 2
HGTV announced season two on August 22nd. And the trio banded together to spread the good news on Instagram by way of a funny video where all three get a text that reads “The Flip Off season 2 is a go!”
In the video, Tarek runs down the hall of his house while crowning himself the king of flipping. But that crown, and a hairpiece end up on the floor in the video as both Heather and Christina put him in his place.
The post’s caption reads, “Season 1 was just the warm-up… 😏 #TheFlipOff”
HGTV’s official announcement about season two reads, “Teams will compete to see who can find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain. Having learned her lessons from last season, Christina will throw out the rule book and do everything she can to beat Tarek and Heather at the flipping game. But they won’t give up their crown easily in an all-out battle to see who can win Round 2 of The Flip Off.”
But Christina, Tarek and Heather keep dropping hints that that description, at least when it comes to who faces off against who, might not be quite accurate.
The Truth About Season 2 May Reveal a Team Swap
Tarek, Heather and Christina followed up on the season two announcement with another Instagram video just a few days later that cheekily suggested things were about to change.
That one was titled “Let’s Play Two Truths & a Lie.”
In the video, Christina says, “OK, I’ll go first. Tarek wears a toupee,” referring back to the wig that ended up on the floor in the season two post.
Then Heather says, “There may be a partner swap on season two of ‘The Flip Off,’” – which is highlighted by the sound of a record scratch.
When Tarek takes his turn, he declares, “And I’m still the [expletive] king of flipping.”
The end slate reads “The Flip/Off season 2 surprises coming… stay tuned!”
Tarek, Heather & Christina Are On the Same Team in Life
While there may be drama on “The Flip Off” season two, the possible pairing of Heather and Christina against Tarek is a marker of just how unified the three are in real life.
In fact, Heather and Christina have been vocal about their growing friendship. In a recent joint Instagram post, they highlighted their unique bond.
The video shows a montage of fun times the two have shared, taking trips to Las Vegas, shooting videos for Heather’s makeup and lifestyle brand, and bonding over shared experiences.
The video caption reads “Wait… you married a man with two kids and actually get along with his ex?”
In the post, Heather El Moussa writes, “Let’s just say we’re not your average blended family. #holyairball“
And Christina Haack comments directly underneath, “Love our crazy / beautiful blended family 🩷”
In fact, Heather Rae El Moussa has been lobbying to jump to Team Christina for season two of “The Flip Off” since June.
In an interview with People, Heather said, “I think that it would be super fun. I think that people would love to see Christina and I working together and beating my husband because he thinks that he could beat us, especially in a design contest,” Heather enthused.
In fact, she’s even discussed the idea with Tarek.
She told People, “The other night, I was picking on [Tarek] about something and we were going back and forth. He’s like, ‘I could beat you guys,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, really? You think you could beat us in a design-off?’ And he said, ‘Yes.’”
Heather says she responded with dismay, saying, “Are you crazy? Against two designers?!”
