HGTV’s New House Hunters Show ‘World’s Bargain Dream Homes’ Gets Premiere Date

HGTV’s new series “World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” similar to the fan favorite “House Hunters,” just got its official premiere date!

The series will feature homebuyers from all over the world in search of their dream home at the most affordable price. The clients will have a budgeted amount of money that they’ll make their local real estate agents aware of. From Spain to France, Italy, Costa Rica, Panama and Greece, the client-agent duos will be on the ultimate hunt to secure the perfect home.

World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” produced by Twenty Twenty Television, will premiere its first-ever season on HGTV on Tuesday, April 14. The show’s debut will include two back-to-back episodes, one at 9:00 PM EST and a second at 9:30, Parade reported. The season will have 12 episodes and air one per week.

Every new episode will also be available to stream on HBO Max and Discovery+ the following day it is aired.

The premiere episode will see a homebuyer from Tennessee as she travels to Crete, Greece, with her friend in search of her dream bargain home. With a budget of $120,000, HGTV teased that the episode will show the house hunter “discover the magic of local life, breathtaking bargain homes and the surprisingly low cost of living.”


‘World’s Bargain Dream Homes’ Described as ‘Humorous’ & ‘Entertaining’

Howard Lee, the chief creative officer of Warner Bros. Discovery, shared his excitement about HGTV’s new series when it was first announced in October 2025. 

“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” Lee said, according to Parade.

HGTV’s official announcement for the new series also described what viewers can expect to see this season. “HGTV’s newest house hunting series will inspire adventurous buyers to dream big and buy low,” the description stated. “Authentic, entertaining and humorous episodes will follow people brave enough to purchase the world’s most affordable properties that also happen to be stunning, turnkey and in desirable locations around the globe, many of which offer incredible cost-saving incentives.”

In addition to “World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” HGTV has a solid selection of other new shows being introduced to the network in 2026, including “Neighborhood Watch,” “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending” and “Botched Homes.”
