Ty Pennington’s fans couldn’t help but notice his devilishly handsome looks when he was in his 20s after he shared a video on Instagram with a slew of photos from over 30 years ago.
The video concept is similar to the viral ‘90s throwback trend, where celebrities share a short montage of their best photos from the ‘90s and set the post to the song “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls.
However, Pennington put his own spin on the trend, making it stand out from the rest — if not for his song choice of “Juicy” by The Notorious B.I.G. — then for him looking head-turning handsome!
Ty Pennington Ages Like Fine Wine
Within the video mashup, the 61-year-old shared images from when he was in his 20s, including many from his modeling days. From swimwear to eyeglasses, a cover shoot for J. Crew and a steamy beach shoot alongside a female model, the TV personality made it clear that he is, was and always will be that guy!
The HGTV star also shared photos from his prime party days, including one that showed his hair in mini ponytails, as well as one of himself sitting on a couch in a red onesie as he holds an adorable kitten in his lap.
Pennington’s friends and fans shared their shock and awe in his comments, with the majority of viewers agreeing that he “ages like fine wine.”
“The Bachelor” star Tyler Cameron commented, “Still got it!!” To which Pennington responded, “ha! Hanging on for dear life 😂.”
“Omg – i remember those J Crew catalogs!! That was YOU! 🔥❤️,” said an impressed fan.
“Takes a good-looking man to rock a pair of polka dot shorts Ty just sayin,” wrote another, prompting Pennington to respond, “😂.”

Pennington captioned his hunky post by pointing out how he previously posted a comical rendition of the ‘90s throwback trend — which also sparked excited reactions from fans.
“Alright, alright. Ya’ll wanted the REAL version 😆,” he wrote.

In his first Instagram post for the trend, Pennington put together a video with images of Jim Varney dressed as his Ernest Worrell character in the ‘80s film franchise “Ernest.” The HGTV star was alluding to him and Varney having a similar resemblance at the time.
Still, his fans commented on how they only watched “Trading Spaces” in the early 2000s just to see him and how handsome he was.
“Meanwhile if you were there in the 90s Ty was one of the hottest guys on tv 🙌❤️,” wrote one.
