Tyler Cameron Reveals His Pick for the Next ‘Bachelor’

Tyler Cameron has an idea for who should be handing out the roses next.

The “Bachelorette” alum weighed in on the future of “The Bachelor” franchise during a recent appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” where he joined fellow Bachelor Nation star—and fellow judge of the new “Bachelor Mansion Takeover” show on HGTV—for a conversation with co-hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy.

With the topic turned to the ever-popular question of who should become the show’s next leading man, Adams admitted that it’s something people within the franchise talk about often.

“We’re constantly thinking of who should be next,” Adams said during the interview.

That prompted the hosts to ask if anyone in particular came to mind—and Cameron didn’t need much time to think about it.

The fan-favorite reality star suggested Rob Rausch, the breakout personality from “Love Island USA” who most recently took home all the gold as the last Traitor standing in “The Traitors,” as someone he believes could successfully step into the role.

“He’d be a good Bachelor,” Cameron said.

Adams, Real, and Murphy appeared to agree with the idea before the former offered a suggestion of her own, pointing to wildlife conservationist and “Dancing With the Stars” season 34 winner Robert Irwin as another potential candidate she thinks audiences would love.

“He’s like America’s Sweetheart,” Adams said.

Of course, neither pick has been confirmed by the franchise, but the conversation offered a glimpse into who former stars think could carry the torch for the long-running dating show. The idea of pulling leads from outside Bachelor Nation may not be far-fetched either, as the franchise recently tapped reality star Taylor Frankie Paul—who rose to fame on a different series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”—as the next Bachelorette.

The 22nd season of “The Bachelorette” is set to premiere on ABC on Sunday, March 22. The upcoming season will feature the “MomTok” personality as the show’s lead.

Paul first rose to prominence on social media before appearing on Emmy Award-nominated reality series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” where she became one of the show’s most talked-about personalities. The 31-year-old Utah native’s casting is notable because she did not previously compete on “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette,” as the franchise traditionally selects its leads from past contestants within Bachelor Nation.

The new season will also air on Sunday nights, departing from the show’s longtime Monday night time slot. Fans will see Paul take center stage as she begins her search for love in the latest installment of the long-running dating series.
