Rob Rausch said he’d do it. And he actually did it. After walking away from “The Traitors” Season 4 with a jaw-dropping $220,800, thanks to a last-minute betrayal of fellow Traitor, Eric Nam, and final Faithful, Maura Higgins, Rob had one more challenge waiting for him. Not from the game. Not from the castle. But from Maura herself.
On the reunion episode, Maura made it very clear: forgiveness would come at a price. Specifically? A Birkin handbag. And yep, you read that right. Rob has officially made good on that promise.
A Birkin for Forgiveness
Rob was spotted on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in New York City exiting a Hermès store alongside friend, and “Therapuss” host, Jake Shane. And if you know anything about Birkin bags, you know that’s not exactly a casual pop-in purchase.
“Lisa Rinna is helping him because obviously you can’t just walk in and buy a Birkin. But Lisa, the queen she is, she’s got contacts,” Maura told The Hollywood Reporter. “I want my handbag and then he’s fully forgiven. I’m happy. He’s happy. “He won the prize money. I won best dressed and a free Birkin Handbag. That’s a win. For me, that’s better than winning the show. I’m deadly serious when I say that.”
Let’s be real; that’s iconic behavior. For anyone unfamiliar, Birkin bags are notoriously exclusive. There’s waitlists. Relationships with sales associates. A strategy. It’s basically its own social game; which feels very on-brand for “The Traitors.” And Rob? He played it well.
From Betrayal to Best Dressed
PeacockBoth Rob and Maura previously appeared on “Love Island,” which is part of why her betrayal stung in the first place. She assumed she could trust him throughout the season. Instead, Rob played what many fans are calling a nearly perfect Traitor game, making it all the way to the end and securing the full prize, alone.
But Maura isn’t holding onto bitterness. “I went through all the emotions at that fire pit, and then I forgave him. I said, ‘Fair play.’ And then I went off to Fiji and filmed my [Love Island] Aftersun,” she explained.
Growth. Grace. And a Birkin. Honestly? That feels like the healthiest possible outcome for a show built on deception.
Rob Rausch Keeps Showing Up
PeacockThis isn’t even the first time Rob has shown goodwill post-finale. He also reunited with Eric Nam (and other contestants) to film his music video… proving that whatever went down in the castle stayed in the castle.
It seems like the cast has fully embraced the idea that it’s a game first, feelings second. And if the result is luxury handbags and music video cameos? We’re not going anywhere.
At the end of the day, Rob won the money. Maura won best dressed and a Birkin. And fans won a reunion moment that was equal parts petty, playful, and surprisingly wholesome. That’s reality TV done right.
