The cast of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” is featured in a final trailer that reveals a huge twist as the series bids MTV farewell after nine seasons.
A YouTube clip highlights all the fun and excitement of the upcoming season, including baby and wedding news, major life milestones, and everything in between. It also teases emotional moments and unexpected twists that promise to keep fans glued to every episode.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Goes Out With a Bang
After nine seasons, it’s time for the cast of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” to end their MTV run. The series was a continuation of the original MTV series, which aired from 2009 through 2012.
A new teaser trailer begins as the original series ended, as the cast reflected on all they have experienced as a family over the past 17 years. “We did in fact meet as complete strangers,” Pauly admits. “And now, I can’t picture my life without them.”
The season includes the opening of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s Archangel Centers, located in New Jersey. The organization provides help and assistance for those struggling with substance abuse.
Also, the gang learns that after a season where Sammi Giancola revealed her infertility struggles, she announces she is pregnant. The reality star has since welcomed a son, Vincent May, with Justin May.
Giancola also reveals she will marry Justin this season. However, the event falls on an unexpected date, throwing a huge twist into the history of the “Jersey Shore” family. She has scheduled her wedding on the same day as her ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s birthday.
Ortiz-Magro is unhappy with the news, adding, “I don’t wanna get out of bed.” He and Giancola dated throughout the series’ first incarnation, from 2009 through 2016.
Babies are also on the brain for the cast as they asked Paul DelVecchio’s longtime girlfriend, Nikki Hall, if she was planning to have any children with the famous DJ. “I don’t know. Have you asked Pauly?” she responded.
So is ‘Jersey Shore’ Cancelled?
According to an MTV Press release, the ninth season of the MTV series will consist of 18 episodes.
Per the news outlet, a press release notes that “this farewell season marks the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television.”
Its storylines are described as follows. “Angelina [Pivrnick] embarks on a full emotional roller coaster, packed with extreme highs, devastating lows, and nonstop twists that only Angelina can deliver. Deena [Cortese] shines as PTA president and goes big on giving back wherever she can, organizing charity events and supporting her friends.”
“Pauly [DelVecchio] continues to grow his empire, launching his own record label, while his relationship with girlfriend Nikki continues to blossom. Jenni [Farley] embraces her 40th birthday as she steps into full director mode, directing her second movie and stirring up conversations no one else will touch.”
The storylines continue: Mike brings his abs out of retirement as he focuses on his fitness journey, celebrates a remarkable 10 years sober, and opens a rehab center. Nicole Polizzi juggles cheer mom life, friendship, and boss‑lady business moves, all while finding time to be the life of the party.
Finally, “Ronnie is fully back in the mix, joining the roomies on their trips and opening up to them about his struggles as he looks to work through them. Sammi [Giancoa] packs a lifetime of milestones into just eight months — pregnancy, childbirth, and a wedding. Vinny [Guadagnino] takes his standup career to the next level as he is selling out shows and taking his set on tour, organizing and hosting a celebratory Roast for the family, all while being very single.”
As for whether or not the series is over? Polizzi said via Instagram, “Legends don’t retire — they reroute. The network changed. The legacy didn’t. Jersey Shore is forever. Just wait until you see what’s next.”
The final season of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” airs beginning May 7, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
