Lady Gaga is ready to step into a new role!
In a Thursday, October 2, interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Lady opened up about where her heart is right now — and it’s centered on starting a family with fiancé Michael Polansky.
The 39-year-old star admitted that, as exciting as Broadway and future career plans are, her deepest desire is to become a mother.
“I would like to do many things, yeah, all of these things,” Gaga stated. “But, what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
Gaga went on to express her feelings toward her soon to be husband.
Polansky Is Her Best Friend
Gaga expressed that Polansky isn’t just her partner — he’s her best friend.
She reflected on how he recognized and appreciated her early on and said, “He always really saw me and I think I always really saw him,” adding that their connection felt powerful from the start.
She praised him for his brilliance, kindness, and unwavering support, acknowledging that before him she often felt like she was navigating life alone — a feeling that’s changed profoundly with him by her side.
“I think I felt for a long time like I was navigating this thing on own and it’s hard. And it’s not anymore,” she added. “I’m very lucky.”
This wasn’t the first time Gaga brought up kids. While speaking with Elle in January, she explained that the two have discussed how they would want to raise their future children.
“That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot — allowing our kids to be their own people,” Gaga revealed. “It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world.”
Gaga’s Sweet Post About Polansky
Beyond interviews, Gaga has made her admiration for Polansky public in other creative ways — including an intimate and heartfelt post on Instagram that lays bare just how deeply she feels.
On her Instagram, she shared a touching birthday message for her partner.
“Happy Birthday to my honey. I hope 42 is your best year yet, you have done so much in your 42 years I am so proud of you every day — and so grateful for this day you came into the world, it was the most special day,” she wrote.
Fans and media outlets quickly responded to the post with admiration, applauding Gaga’s vulnerability and the beauty of her tribute.
As fans eagerly await more details about their journey — whether it’s wedding plans or the arrival of a baby — Gaga’s words and actions together paint a vivid picture of where her priorities lie.
