Taylor Swift is in the midst of a pretty hectic year. Not only has she successfully acquired her master recordings, but she’s also been busy completing her seventh studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Most exciting of all, she got engaged to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Travis Kelce. Despite her busy life, she somehow found time to make it to her bestie, Selena Gomez’s wedding. So she’d be excused for not having her wedding details planned out yet. However, surprisingly, she has already considered one of the most important aspects of her wedding. She hinted on BBC Radio 1 that she and Travis may be having a destination wedding.
Taylor Swift Teases Greg James About Travis’ Wedding Wrestling Stunt
Taylor Swift sat down for an interview with Radio 1’s Greg James, and the old friends immediately began bantering back and forth. After a while, the topic shifted to Travis, and Greg expressed his desire to meet him.
“I’d like him to maybe just do a wrestling move on me into a pool or something, that would be great,” Greg joked. But her response caught him off guard.
“The way that he’s going to do that as soon as he sees you at our wedding,” she replied, chuckling. “Like, that’s going to happen.”
The two veered off-topic again before Greg circled back to the wedding comment. “By the way, thanks for the invite to the wedding. I don’t normally like a destination wedding, but for you, I would make an exception,” he teased.
Seemingly forgetting that they were still talking on-air, he asked her, “Where’s it going to be? Do we know?”
“I will let you know at a different time,” she laughed.
Taylor Swift Clears Up Shower Joke with Greg James
At one point, the two joked about the controversy around a comment Greg made in a previous interview. In 2018, Greg stopped to chat with Taylor at Radio 1’s Big Weekend. He talked to her right after she came off the stage, and she was visibly sweaty. At the end of the interview, he told her, “I think you need to shower now.”
“Once and for all, were you upset that I told you to go and take a shower?” Greg asked her in the present.
“No, it was important, and also, I had already arrived there on my own,” she replied. “You were just reading my mind, as good friends do. I was not upset, I actually laughed.”
“People don’t need to bubble wrap me in their minds as much as they do,” she continued.
“I’m a pretty tough broad,” she added.
