Eighties music icon Paul Hardcastle is sharing news of a deep, devastating loss. Harcastle has shared that his son, Paul Hardcastle Jnr, has died following a fatal motorcycle accident. He was 35.

Hardcastle confirmed the loss in a deeply emotional social media post shared Monday night, January 12. He shared the news with a photograph of his son.


Paul Hardcastle’s Heartbreaking Note For His Beloved Son

“Just to let you know that my super-talented son, Paul Hardcastle Jr., was in a fatal motorcycle accident earlier and has sadly died. RIP son, love Dad.”

Hardcastle didn’t share any further details about his son’s untimely death. The announcement prompted an outpouring of grief and support from fans and fellow artists.

Former “The Only Way Is Essex” star James Argent wrote, “I’m so sorry mate, thinking of you all. Heartbreaking.”

Presenter Hayley Palmer also shared her support, writing, “Paul, I don’t even have the words – I am so so sorry to hear this. Heartbreaking. I’m thinking of you, Paul xx.”

One fan commented: “Keep his memory close to your heart ❤️ I am so dearly sorry for your loss. My son is a biker and it terrifies me when his out. My dad became disabled in a bike accident. Paul Hardcastle Jnr built a music career of his own while carrying forward his father’s legacy. A saxophonist and DJ, he worked closely with Hardcastle on several projects over the years.

He appeared on the 2008 album “Hardcastle 5,” performing on the closing track “Take 1,” and later contributed to the 2022 release “Hardcastle X.”

His solo work also earned recognition. His debut single, “Touch and Go,” released in 2010 and produced by his father, reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Jazz Chart.
