The “Love Is Blind” season 9 reunion aired Wednesday, October 29 on Netflix, and here’s everything that happened.
“Love Is Blind” season 9 made history for the Netflix reality series as the only season to lack any marriages at the end of the experiment. Still, the dating show provided a healthy dose of entertainment as we watched people like Sparkle Megan Walerius navigate relationships and what they wanted for their future.
What Happened to Megan Walerius & Jordan Keltner After ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 9?
Megan and Jordan broke up prior to their wedding day, causing Jordan to question if he should have introduced her to his son. At the reunion, he clarified that he didn’t regret introducing his son to Megan, he simply understood the importance of stability in a young child’s life and worried about the effect of the show itself on his son. “It had nothing to do with Megan,” he said.
After their breakup, Megan questioned if she was even cut out to be a mother. However, she announced at the reunion that she recently had a baby boy, Brooks, and now is positive she is a great mother. Even before Megan declared her news, Jordan assured everyone he believed the sparkle-lover would be an amazing parent.
Jordan bravely took the reunion as an opportunity to educate everyone about the differences between type one and type two diabetes. In the pods, another male cast member confused the two, assuming Jordan’s son had diabetes due to his eating habits. However, Jordan’s son has type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that is not preventable.
Jordan admitted he is not dating anyone seriously at the moment, and he’s not ready to introduce anyone to his son yet.
Kacie McIntosh & Patrick Suzuki Explained Their Breakup
GettyKacie McIntosh and Patrick Suzuki had a tumultuous relationship on “Love Is Blind.” Patrick was initially interested in Anna Yuan, but when she abruptly left the experiment, Patrick pivoted to Kacie, ultimately proposing. Kacie accepted, and the two were finally able to see each other.
The next day, Kacie ended the engagement, saying she didn’t want to continue on the show. However, in her confessionals, she admitted, “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is going to grow that much.”
Patrick assumed the two would continue dating back home, but that didn’t happen. Kacie also says she wanted to keep dating, but their lack of communication post-show painted a different picture. More drama ensued when Patrick wanted his engagement ring back (a ring provided by the “Love Is Blind” production team) and Kacie refused to return it.
At the reunion, Kacie continued to say she wanted to date Patrick in the real world, although she reiterated that she didn’t think her attraction to him would grow. Kacie also used the reunion to explain the ways in which Patrick hurt her, namely by proposing to her despite having a stronger connection with Anna.
Kacie returned the ring, although she and Patrick later participated in a free throw contest for the diamond, which Kacie won.
Joe Ferruci Dated Another ‘Love Is Blind’ Cast Member After Madison Maidenberg
GettyKacie’s time in the hot seat wasn’t over after her story with Patrick wrapped. As it turns out, Kacie and Joe Ferruci went on a few dates after the show wrapped. Joe got engaged to Madison Maidenberg, and while many elements of their relationship seemed promising, the two did not make it to the altar.
Madison then stepped in to tell her side of the story. From Madison’s perspective, Joe’s attraction to Kacie was a major factor in her engagement ending. After all, Madison said the cast went out after the wedding dress shopping/tux fitting day, and Joe thought Kacie was making “googly eyes” at him “all night.” The next day, he ended his relationship with Madison.
Joe assured Madison that Kacie had nothing to do with his decision to break off the engagement. In his defense, Joe said he had begun to question whether he wanted to get married during the tux fitting, hours before he saw Kacie at the bar.
Kacie and Joe’s relationship didn’t last, but Joe is now in a new relationship.
Nick Amato Apologized For His Actions in the Pods
Nick Amato proposed to Annie Lancaster, a woman who shared his faith, in the pods, but he had also had a connection with Kait Nemunaitis. Kait didn’t share Nick’s religion, which caused a fight between the two during the pod portion of the experiment.
At the reunion, Nick apologized to Kait for his outburst, saying, “I used faith to try and control the situation,” which he admitted was something he’s working on.
Ali Lima & Anton Yarosh Cleared the Air
During the “Love Is Blind” season 9 reunion, Ali Lima and Anton Yarosh cleared the air and explained what happened with their relationship. Ali admitted that she never asked Anton about certain extracurricular activities his friend’s girlfriend told her about during an outing. Although such activities played a role in her decision to say no at the altar, she never gave Anton the opportunity to explain himself.
However, the main reason Ali ended her relationship with Anton was the same reason she gave on her wedding day: the man she knew in the pods was very different from the man she experienced in the real world.
Anton, however, has been doing well on the dating front since his engagement ended. “I’ve actually been in a relationship for about a year,” he told hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey. His girlfriend, Miranda, was supporting him from the audience.
Where Do Edmond Harvey & Kalybriah Haskim Stand Now?
Unfortunately, Edmond Harvey and Kalybriah Haskim were unable to get on the same page during the “Love Is Blind” season 9 reunion. Although they both acknowledged the good times they shared, they had very different memories of the hard times.
During the reunion, Kalybriah brought up multiple moments in which she felt that Edmond was manipulating her or acting as a bad partner. Edmond, however, claimed he didn’t remember these moments, questioning if they even happened.
Luckily, by the end of the reunion, KB and Edmond were able to recognize that although they weren’t a perfect match, they learned a lot from each other. They ended their portion with a hug, showing that just because two people don’t work in a relationship doesn’t mean they can’t be civil with each other.
