Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee died on Sunday, March 29, after tragically drowning while filming for a TV series, Indian Express reported.
The 43-year-old star reportedly entered the sea after wrapping a scene around 5:00 PM. As the production crew watched in horror, a massive wave crashed in, taking Rahul under. Rahul was rushed to Digha hospital, West Bengal, where he was then pronounced dead.
A source on the scene described the devastating accident to Indian Express, explaining that it looked like Rahul’s feet got stuck and made him lose his balance up against the powerful wave.
