Nancy Guthrie’s Daughter Savannah Guthrie Plans to Return to Work
Nancy is a mother to three children, including her daughter, “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie. The family has raised their reward to $1 million, and Savannah has made heartfelt speeches on social media, urging the public to come forward with any information they may have, and to help identify a suspect.
On Friday, March 27, Savannah announced she would return to work after taking an absence due to her mother’s disappearance. Savannah made her plans known in an interview with her co-host Hoda Kotb. “It’s hard to imagine doing it because it’s such a place of joy and lightness, and I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not,” she said, CBS News reports. “But I can’t not come back, because it’s my family. I think it’s part of my purpose right now.” She will be back on air on Monday, April 6.

Can’t believe that her house was not monitored knowing that she was an elder adult and lived alone, and she was sick
No elderly that’s sick with the need of medication for survival should ever be left alone, anything could happen and something did that changes everything, that should be considered negligence, she was in no position to care for herself in the event that she had some kind of medical situation that she wasn’t able to address herself, it’s sad how we as a people leave our elderly alone by themselves, taken life for granted
Totally agree with you Teresa 👍 💯. After my Dad passed, we(6 children) always took care of our Mother. She was never left alone. We took turns staying with her, and my brothers moved back home so she wouldn’t be alone. We miss her sooooo much!!! She was a wonderful Mother!!!
They are a wealthy family why not hire a butler-caregiver, have a few guard dogs & a better monitoring system installed? All of their negligence shows what can & did happen…sad.
Mrs. Guthrie was perfectly able to care for her daily needs and lived the majority of her adult life taking care of her and her children’s security. Her pacemaker tracked her health constantly. Folks really should stop victim blaming. Stop pointing fingers and saying what the family should have done. Should people feel that way, yes, you are in a free country. However, publicly offer the love and support this family needs and privately address your own familial concerns instead of projecting them into shoes and paths you haven’t walked.
I solely agree with this comment
What i don’t understand is they are offering a $1 million dollar reward for information leading to the safe return. But was asked to pay the people who took her within a certain amount of time and let each deadline for making the payment pass by. And here we are going on 2 months past the deadline and instead of taking the reward money and paying for her safe return home. Something with this whole situation sounds off to me
This whole case is bizarre, I can’t even imagine the pain this family is feeling.
NOT knowing if she is alive or not, has to be heartbreaking.
I have myself wondered why they didn’t pay the ransom? They are offering a significant amount for her return, so I don’t think cash flow was the issue.
She has been “missing” going on 2 months now, without her much needed medications. I hate to say it, but I don’t believe she is still alive.
Someone knows SOMETHING. Someone knows who the person on the porch was, even with the mask, gloves, etc. If that were my son or brother, etc. I would immediately recognize them, even with the steps he took to not be identified. We know how our loved one’s move, their mannerisms, their eyes!
Whoever recognizes this person should call in anonymously, they can keep their information out of the public, but they NEED to do the right thing. Just imagine if that was your Mother, or Grandmother?
The family just wants answers, and to have their Mother back home, even if it is sadly, just her body.
The not knowing is harder than trying to accept the fact they will NEVER see her again.
Someone knows something, Please just do the right thing, and allow her family to grieve, and give her a proper funeral, if in fact she is no longer alive.
