Tributes Are Pouring In For Jamie Dunn

Dunn was a significant part of Australian culture. This is so much the case that audiences around the world got to know his brand of humor as well as his beloved puppet, Agro. Because of this, many are taking to social media to pay tribute to the man he was and the legacy he now leaves behind.

One person said on X, “R.I.P Jamie Dunn, you (Agro) were one of the most remembered parts of my childhood.”

Someone else said, “I’m absolutely devastated rn. Agro was a key part of my childhood and his attitude and quick wit became an essential piece of what molded me into who I am today. Cheers to the greatest bathmat and puppeteer ever! R.I.P. Jamie Dunn. You and Agro are the rightful kings of Australia.”

Another fan wrote on X, “Rest in Peace Jamie Dunn. You were an iconic figure of my growing up, and the older I got, the dirtier and funnier you got. Rest in Peace, legend!”

A different social media user said, “For generations of Australian viewers who grew up watching Agro’s antics on Saturday mornings, Jamie Dunn will live on through the chaotic puppet that made us all laugh. Vale Jamie xxx.”

Lastly, another X user stated, “Jamie Dunn
1949-2026. Rest In Peace. The genius behind an Australian legend. The irascible, mischievous, derisive Agro. He took children’s TV and pushed the boundaries for sheer hilarity!”

He Leaves Behind A Widereaching Legacy

In additon to Agro, what made Dunn such a legend was his ability to entertain children and adults.
