Savannah Guthrie is celebrating a special day amid the ongoing search for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie.
On Saturday, the “TODAY” co-anchor returned to social media to mark World Down Syndrome Day, sharing her first Instagram update since her last post earlier this month.
Savannah re-shared a clip from a “TODAY” show segment honoring the special day alongside Best Buddies, an organization close to her heart.
Tara, one of the members of the organization and has been “buddies” with Savannah for about a decade, even prepared a banner for the news anchor that read, “We Love You, Savannah.”

Savannah is one of the many celebrity global ambassadors of Best Buddies, who help promote the organization’s vision.
Some of the celebrity ambassadors include Steve Aoki, Tom Brady, Pierce Brosnan, Cindy Crawford, Guy Fieri, Olivia Culpo, Rob Lowe, and more.
In 2016, Savannah joined the Best Buddies New York Benefit concert, which featured special performances by award-winning artists and individuals with special needs.
The benefit concert raised nearly $400,000 to support the organization’s programs.
Best Buddies helps create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Nancy Guthrie Update
Meanwhile, the search for Nancy Guthrie has reached its 49th day, with investigators reportedly focusing on evidence from two key dates leading up to her disappearance.
The FBI has been asking Nancy’s neighbors for security footage from January 11 and January 24, according to NewsNation’s Brian Entin.
There were also reports that the FBI recovered new “thumbnail” images from Nancy’s home security cameras, which are reportedly positioned around the swimming pool, backyard, and side yard.
ABC News reported that the cameras captured people in the back and side yards over an unspecified period before Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
However, nothing was captured on the night of the abduction, which investigators reportedly find “odd.”
Despite recent developments, authorities reportedly still have “no suspects” and “no leads” 46 days into the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
Former SWAT team leader Chad Ayers shared the claim on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” citing a source with direct knowledge of the case.
“I can report from a very, very reliable source that is boots on the ground there that the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office have no leads, no solid suspects,” Ayers told Kelly.
Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1.
