Nancy Guthrie Update: New Theory Suggests Disturbing Way Suspect Took Her From Her Home

The search for Nancy Guthrie has now entered its 38th day, with new theories emerging about how she was taken from her home.

Speaking with NewsNation’s Brian Entin, retired FBI special agent Maureen O’Connell floated the idea that Nancy did not leave her home on her own.

O’Connell pointed out that the blood droplets on her doorstep and the continuous trail indicate Nancy may have been carried out instead of walking out herself.

“I doubt that she walked out because there were no voids,” O’Connell explained. “So, let’s say the pattern of the blood is concentrated here, but the sphere is this big, it’s round, you would have a void here from one foot or from another foot or from something. There don’t appear to be any voids.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: Retired FBI Agent Believes She Was Wrapped Up During Abduction

O’Connell observed that the absence of a void could indicate Nancy Guthrie was wrapped up in something as she was carried out of the house.

“So, for me, in my mind, she’s wrapped up in something, and they’re carrying her out,” she added.

On the contrary, retired FBI special agent Jim Clemente believes the blood droplets suggest blood “went straight down” and “wasn’t moving at speed.”

“I think if she was wrapped up, you wouldn’t see that,” Clemente explained. “I mean, if she was wrapped up and she’s still spattering blood, then she wasn’t wrapped up well.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department previously confirmed that the blood spatter belonged to Nancy, but no additional details were released.

Former CIA Officer Thinks Suspect Carried Items to Subdue Nancy Guthrie

Previously, former CIA officer and FBI special agent Tracy Walder shared a chilling theory on what might be in the suspect’s backpack during Nancy Guthrie’s abduction.

In an interview with “Brian Entin Investigates,” Walder suggested that the bag, which appeared full on the video, might have things to “subdue” Nancy.

“I think again, you know, just my hypothesis, that he is arriving with things to subdue her,” Walder explained. “Maybe even, you know, blankets or tarps to put her in.”

She continued, “I don’t want to seem overly morbid or graphic, but, you know, things like zip ties, tape, things to subdue her. That’s what I think is in the backpack.”
