Law enforcement officials, including FBI agents, arrived at the property shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time.

The residence belongs to Savannah Guthrie’s older sister, Annie, where Savannah has also been staying as the family remains hopeful for Nancy’s safe return.

Agents were observed carrying files and notebooks as they approached the home and were met by members of Savannah’s security team, who had been maintaining a presence at the property. See the photos here.

Last Known Moments Before Nancy Disappeared

Annie Guthrie, 56, was the last family member to see Nancy Guthrie before she disappeared late Saturday. The two spent the evening together sharing dinner and playing Mahjong, a four-player tile game.

Nancy has not been seen since approximately 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 31. Concern escalated the following morning when she failed to attend church, prompting Annie to contact authorities.

Investigators have since said they believe Nancy was taken without her essential medication, a detail that has heightened urgency as the search continues.

During today’s press conference by Pima County officials, the FBI confirmed it is supporting local law enforcement in the investigation. John Edwards, assistant special agent in charge of the bureau’s Tucson office, said federal agents are providing “analytical and tech support.”

That support includes reviewing cellphone data and analyzing information from nearby cell towers as investigators work to piece together Nancy’s movements.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Tuesday that authorities believe Nancy was abducted and described the investigation as a race against time. Officials have not said whether they believe the incident was random or targeted.

Ransom Note Reports Under Review

Investigators are also examining reports of potential ransom communications connected to the case.

Authorities have acknowledged awareness of claims involving messages sent to media organizations, including TMZ and a local television outlet.

TMZ reported receiving a message demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin for Nancy’s safe release. The outlet said the note included a deadline and specific details that had not been made public.

Law enforcement has not confirmed the authenticity or contents of any such message.

Sheriff Chris Nanos declined to address specifics related to the reported communications but said detectives are pursuing every lead.

Officials have previously stated there is no current evidence suggesting Nancy was targeted because of her daughter’s public profile, while emphasizing that no scenario has been ruled out.

As of the writing of this story, Nancy Guthrie had not been found.
