Jenny and Dave Marrs are hard at work ahead of season 8 of their beloved HGTV series, “Fixer to Fabulous.” The “Fixer to Fabulous” stars are taking viewers behind-the-scenes of a typical day balancing multiple projects at once.

The couple took to their joint Instagram profile on Wednesday, August 5, to share a day in the life while filming for the upcoming season of their hit series.
“Come along for a day behind the scenes with us—from job site visits and design decisions to meetings, problem-solving, and everything in between,” the caption read. Renovating homes is only part of what our days look like, and we’re grateful you get to be along for the journey.”
The pair — who share five children: sons Nathan, Ben, and Luke, and daughters Sylvie and Charlotte — started their work day at 8:30 a.m. with a site visit.
Camera crews can be seen putting a mic on their former carpenter Joe Looney, before cutting to a scene of Dave installing what appeared to be drywall inside the home.
Fans were understandably thrilled to get a glimpse of Joe nearly three years after his retirement.
“Love me some Joe!! Y’all hurry back cause there’s nothing on HGTV!!” one fan wrote.
“Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Screaming it like the soccer announcers yelling GOAL),” another commented.
By 9:30, Dave and Jenny were checking in with homeowners and providing project updates. Just 30 minutes later, Jenny was picking out tiles and filming a confessional inside the home, installing kitchen hardware, and selecting lighting.
Before lunch Jenny and Joe stopped by a fabric retailer to pick out designs for a project.
“Joe joined me today on a field trip. The first time Joe picked out fabric,” she explained.
“First and last,” the old man added.
Then it was off to lunch with the crew before heading to a second site visit.
By the time 4:00 p.m. rolled around, the team was busy planning upcoming projects.
“Joe is looking good!! Great to see him. He’s kinda special to us too 🥰 always wonder how the day goes for you all, and how the decor comes to fruition. Love that stuff!! Love your show guys!” one fan commented.
‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Renewed
Jenny and Dave first announced that “Fixer to Fabulous” was renewed and would return for an eighth season in June.
“We have some news…SEASON EIGHT of Fixer to Fabulous is coming!! 🙌” the pair captioned their announcement. “We’ve been hard at work on 14 new episodes – we have 9 houses in construction now, 2 reveals are completed, and 2 more reveals are happening this week! We cannot wait for you all to see these projects and meet these incredible families. We have amazing stories to share this year and are truly grateful for the chance to do so.”
While they did not share when the season would premiere, the Marrses promised to share the return date news as soon as they were certain.
