Choosing a baby name isn’t always easy, and “The Bachelor” fan-favorite couple Arie Luyendyk and Lauren Burnham Luyendyk experienced that challenge after welcoming their fourth child in September.
After announcing the birth of their daughter, Livvy Rowe Luyendyk, on Instagram, Lauren later shared with fans that her name wasn’t always Livvy, revealing that she had to call just about everyone to let them know it had changed.
Lauren Luyendyk Shares Daughter Livvy Had a Different Name
“The Bachelor” season 22 couple Arie Luyendyk and Lauren Burnham Luyendyk welcomed a beautiful baby girl on September 18, naming her Livvy Rowe Luyendyk. However, in a recent Q&A with fans, Lauren revealed that they left the hospital with Livvy having a completely different name.
According to Bachelor Nation, when a fan asked what the inspiration behind the name Livvy was, Lauren shared, “Funny story I haven’t told you guys, but she was named something else at birth. I surprised Arie w/ an embroidered blanket with her name after she was born & then two days after I brought her home, I called the hospital registrar to change her name to Livvy which was my original name I had chosen for her.”
She then shared that she had to “call the whole family” to let them know she was now going to go by the name, Livvy.
In fact, Lauren had also liked the name “Rivi,” but it wasn’t Arie’s favorite. She added, “So I ran through the alphabet & landed on Livvy.”
Arie and Lauren are now parents to four children. Their first child, a daughter named Alessi, was born in May 2019. They later welcomed twins in June 2021, a daughter named Senna and a son named Lux.
Lauren Admits Having 4 Children Is Easier Than Having 3
In an update since giving birth to her fourth child, Lauren admitted that being a mom of four was “easy” compared to having three children, which she called the “hardest.”
While sharing a photo of all her children in matching pajamas, Lauren answered a fan’s question about how she was handling motherhood now that she has four kids to care for.
“0-1 kids: hard. 1-3 kids: hardest. 3-4 kids: easy. I feel so good this time around. [And] so much more confident in my mom abilities. Really grateful I got to have this experience again one last time. 🥹.” Lauren shared (via Bachelor Nation).
In a YouTube video, Arie and Lauren opened up about their decision to grow their family to six. Arie revealed that he decided to undergo a vasectomy reversal after initially going through with the procedure after welcoming their twins.
“All of our kids are, like, the best age right now. And I just felt like, ‘Dang it, I think we could do this again,” he said in the video.
Lauren had admitted that she was hesitant at first. “It’s funny, he fully convinced me that that chapter’s closed and I’m like, ‘Okay,’ and came to terms with that. And now have to just get out of that again. So I’m getting there. Arie is totally there. I’m getting there.”
“So, yeah, we’re going to do it again,” the couple shared with a laugh.
