When former “The Bachelor” star Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to his now-wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk live on air, their milestone moment wasn’t exactly warmly received by viewers. After all, instead of Arie choosing Lauren to be his final rose, he chose Becca Kufrin, proposed to her, and broke up with her just months into their engagement.
The finale episodes of season 22 in 2018 were a whirlwind to the audience, but Arie and Lauren have gone on to prove everyone who doubted them wrong ever since.
After tying the knot in 2019, the couple is now proud parents to their four kids: daughter Alessi Ren, who was born in May 2019, twins Senna James and Lux Jacob, born in June 2021, and daughter Livvy Rowe, born September 18, 2025. Now as a happy family of six, they’re just celebrating their blessings.
Lauren Burnham Luyendyk Looks Back at Her Love Story With Arie Luyendyk Jr.
On Instagram, Lauren looked back at her and Arie’s love story together since meeting on the reality show.
“In your 20s people will tell you not to marry the guy you meet on reality tv,” she wrote in the video alongside a clip of her playing with her youngest daughter. “It is very important you don’t listen.”
In the video, set to “Silver Springs” by Fleetwood Mac, Lauren showed snippets of her and Arie’s growing family over the years, from their proposal, their wedding, their first ultrasound, when their kids first met after delivery, and much more.
“To my younger self.🤍” she wrote in the captions.

Luckily, it’s not just Lauren and Arie that got their fairytale happy ending. After being blindsided by their split, Kufrin appeared on “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” where she met her now-husband Thomas Jacobs. They welcomed their first son, Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin, in September 2023, and are currently expecting their second child.
