Now, it looks like James is embarking on a different kind of food journey, giving raw milk a try on a raw farm, just as the controversial beverage experiences a major surge in popularity.
Matt James Documents New Food Adventure by Living on ‘Raw Farm’ & Trying Raw Milk
GettyMatt James shared a glimpse into his latest foot adventure on February 10. Taking to Instagram, the former “The Bachelor” lead revealed that he was living on a “raw farm,” where he poured milk straight from a cow over a bowl of cereal, fully embracing the farm-to-table experience.
In his video, James is seen in a milking parlour while holding a bowl of cereal. He announces, “Day one of living on a raw farm. Let’s have some breakfast.” As he takes a spoonful of cereal in his mouth, he lets out a satisfied sound, clearly impressed by the raw milk.
In a second video shared on Feb. 12, James continued his raw farm adventure. On Day two on the farm, he revealed that, with the help of a young friend, he baked chocolate chip cookies — the perfect treat to pair with milk. By the end of the video, James couldn’t resist dunking a cookie into his fresh glass of raw milk. In his caption, James shared the cookie recipe for fans to try out for themselves.
James also tagged Raw Farm, a California-based, family-owned dairy company that specializes in producing raw dairy products, including milk and cheeses.

GettyLooking at his social media, James appears to be single. His last relationship was with his “The Bachelor” pick, Rachael Kirkconnell, which ended in a shocking split after four years together.
In January 2025, James announced the couple’s breakup on Instagram, sharing a photo of their time on the reality show. His caption was a prayer that read: “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord 💔”
During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, just a couple of weeks later, Kirkconnell admitted she was blindsided by the split. She recounted that while she and James were in Tokyo, Japan, they struggled to choose a restaurant, which ultimately led James to question their relationship, telling her, “I don’t know if I ever see myself proposing to you. I can’t actually see myself married to you.’”
Since their split, James has continued to focus on his food adventures solo, including a trip to Nigeria. He’s also prioritized his health, sharing milestones from running marathons and staying active.
