Not everyone in Bachelor Nation is weighing in on the cancellation of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette”—and former lead Sean Lowe is making that very clear.
Instead of sharing a hot take—or any take at all—Lowe took a different (and much cuter) approach.
In a recent Instagram post, the former Bachelor opened with a black screen featuring white text that read, “My take on Bachelorette…”—seemingly setting up a commentary on the situation.
But moments later, he swerved.
“JK, don’t care,” the next slide read. “Here’s a cute video of Mia and me making pancakes this morning.
The video then cuts to Lowe in the kitchen with his daughter, flipping pancakes on a countertop griddle before he scoops her up and gives her a kiss.
Lowe, who starred as the lead on “The Bachelor” season 17 back in 2013, remains one of the franchise’s most well-known success stories. He met his now-wife, Catherine Giudici, on the show, and the two tied the knot in a televised wedding in 2014.
More than a decade later, the couple is still going strong and has built a family together. They share three children—sons Samuel, 9, and Isaiah, 7, and daughter Mia, 6—who frequently appear in their social media posts.
Bachelor Nation Reacts to Sean Lowe’s ‘Reaction’ of ‘Bachelorette’ Cancellation
GettyLowe’s lighthearted post quickly caught the attention of fellow Bachelor Nation alums and fans alike.
Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk kept it simple, commenting “lol.” Bob Guiney, who was a contestant on the first season of “The Bachelorette” and later became the lead in “The Bachelor” season 4, added, “Best post I’ve seen about this all day!!! 🥞 Thank you for this!!!!”
Fans also flooded the comments with praise; not just for the video, but for what Lowe represents within the franchise.
“YES. You and Catherine. We need ‘The Bachelorette’ to revert back to earnest, good people looking for a zany adventure that might lead to love!!” one person wrote.
Another added, “Love you guys!!! ❤️😍 The most drama free cutest couple/family!!!”
Others leaned into the humor of the moment, with one fan joking, “Just tell ABC to re-release your season to fill the time slot.”
Why Taylor Frankie Paul’s Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ Was Canceled
ABCLowe’s tongue-in-cheek response comes amid major headlines surrounding the franchise.
ABC and parent company Disney announced just days before Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was set to air that they were pulling the plug entirely. The decision came amid an aggravated assault involving her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
A video showing a physical altercation between the two surfaced online, ultimately prompting the season’s cancellation later that day.
With the sudden gap in programming, ABC has since shifted its schedule, with an “American Idol” rerun stepping in to fill the time slot. ABC hasn’t yet announced a more long-term replacement for the rest of what was supposed to be “The Bachelorette” season.
