“The Bachelor” franchise isn’t exactly known for producing lasting love, as many finale proposals ultimately end in heartbreak. Because so few couples actually manage to stay together once the cameras stop rolling, those who do beat the odds are often celebrated.
One of those success stories is “The Bachelor” season 17 couple Sean Lowe and his wife, Catherine Giudici (now Lowe), who have easily become one of the franchise’s most beloved pairings. This year marks their 12th wedding anniversary, a major milestone that’s rarely achieved in “The Bachelor” universe.

During his season as “The Bachelor,” Sean Lowe admitted that he could picture himself with contestant Catherine Giudici “for the rest of my life.” After spending just mere weeks with her, he got down on one knee and proposed, with Giudici happily accepting. The couple wed in 2014 and are now celebrating thier 12th wedding anniversary, continuing to prove that true love can, in fact, be found on reality television.
Celebrating 12 years of marriage, Lowe took to Instagram to share a montage of photos highlighting key moments from his life with Giudici, including their time on “The Bachelor,” their wedding day, and eventually growing their family with three children.
He captioned his sweet post, “12 years ago today, I married my best friend. Best decision I’ve ever made. She’s the most selfless, loving person I’ve ever met and I thank God I get to be on the receiving end of all of it. And it’s a bonus that she occasionally lets me touch her.”
Fans quickly took to the comment section to share how much they adore the couple and to celebrate how far they’ve come together.

How the Couple Has Made Their Marriage Work
GettyIn 2021, the couple were guests on the “Unzipped” podcast (via Us Weekly), where they opened up like never before about their marriage, including how the first couple of years were “rocky.”
“In the beginning of our marriage, we had growing pains, which for those newlyweds out there who are listening and like maybe it’s a little rocky, that’s normal. That’s what we’ve come to find out,” Lowe shared.
He continued, “We’ve grown and [Catherine] has tried so hard to just be like the best wife possible. She’s an incredible mother and, hopefully, I’ve grown up a little bit too in our marriage. Those rocky times that we experienced the first year or two, thankfully we don’t experience that too often anymore.”
Giudici later shared that what helped them move past their “growing pains” was learning and understanding each other’s love languages.
For Lowe, it was words of affirmation. As for Giudici, Lowe explained, “She loves to be validated. It took me a long time to figure this out instead of solving her problems, which most guys I think are problem solvers.” He also added that marrying your “best friend” has been a huge part of their success.
