Mother’s Day is a time for former “The Bachelorette” contestant Tyler Cameron to reflect on the many cherished memories he shared with his mother, Andrea Hermann Cameron, who sadly passed away more than six years ago.
This year, Cameron took to Instagram to share sweet photos of his mom supporting him through many of his biggest milestones, from his school accomplishments to his rise to fame after appearing on the reality dating series. In his post, he urged his followers to “hug your mom extra tight today,” while encouraging others to cherish every moment they have with their loved ones.
Tyler Cameron Shares Heartfelt Post for Late Mom on Mother’s Day
Tyler Cameron shared a very heartfelt story on Mother’s Day that left many of his followers and fans reflecting on just how precious and limited their time with loved ones can be.
Cameron first shared a story of meeting a loving mother on a plane, writing, “I want to wish all the moms out there a happy Mother’s Day. I was on the plane last week talking to this lovely mother who was so proud of her boys and their new careers,” he began. “She was so excited to come down for the week and spend Mother’s Day with them. She said she’s excited but her boys think she can be too much sometimes.”
He continued, “I told her they will miss that the most one day. She knew right away where I was coming from. I miss my mom always wanting to be in my business. Always wanting to help. Always wanting to be around. It’s so easy to take it for granted until it’s gone. So moms, keep bugging and loving the way you do. It will be what we will miss dearly one day.”
Cameron then encouraged his followers who are lucky to have their moms to “cherish every moment you get. When they’re being too much, they’re just loving you the way they know how.”
“Trust me I wish my mom was being too much right now. Wish she was here to give her opinion on everything or to put a foot up my ass or to pick me up when I’m down,” he added.
According to People, Cameron’s mom died of a brain aneurysm on February 29, 2020. She was 55. Cameron announced the news of her passing in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of him and his two brothers holding their mother’s hand.
“Today heaven gained an angel. We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on. While we grieve, we ask for two things: First, tell those you love that you love them; and second, please let us take this time to celebrate her life in private. Thank you for all of your love and support. ❤️” He captioned the post.

How Cameron Is Honoring Mother’s Day
In a second Mother’s Day post, Cameron shared that what helps him the most on such a hard day is by “making myself really busy” so he doesn’t dwell on the grief, choosing instead to remain positive and focused throughout the day.
Cameron and his girlfriend, Tate Madden, decided to give back, creating a loving Mother’s Day basket for a woman named Dawn.
Cameron’s video showed him and Madden crafting a wooden box from scratch, in which they later filled with goodies such as wine, a blanket, and flowers.
“Mother’s Day is here and it’s always been a tough one for me. Without my mom being here I found myself making myself really busy so I didn’t have to think about it too much,” he began.
“This past Christmas Tate and I made it about giving to others and I found so much joy in that. So I decided this Mother’s Day I need to give back to those who have stepped up and given so much to me and my brothers (and dogs). Dawn has been there with me through it all. Someone to chat through anything. Someone to just hang with and have a home cooked meal from. All those little actions me so much more to me than you know,” he added.
