Joy Behar confidently spoke out about shedding 25 pounds on the February 18 episode of ‘The View.’ She told the audience she accomplished her major weight loss with the help of GLP-1 weight loss medications, declaring “I lost 25” when the topic arose. This was after Whoopi Goldberg reminded viewers, “I was almost 300 pounds, and I’m looking good now!”
Behar looked super trim while promoting her play “My First Ex-Husband” in early February.

In 2017, she talked to the cameras while attending a benefit.
Joy Behar Revealed the Tool She Used to Lose 25 Pounds
Page Six says Behar opened up to them back in March 2024 about taking the GLP-1 drug Mounjaro. They say she explained the drug was “the only way” doctors could “jumpstart” her system and make her metabolism “move” following steroids after back surgery.
The conversation around the popular drugs sparked when the co-hosts started discussing the recent interview where Illinois governor JB Pritzker, whom Fox 32 says “hasn’t ruled out” a presidential bid in 2028, was asked by a reporter, “Can I ask about GLP-1s? It’s been such a conversation nationally. Is that something that you’ve tried?” Before asking, the reporter acknowledged his question
Pritzker replied, “I do not think it’s something that people should be revealing about themselves. Cause your doctor recommends things for different reasons. Someone who’s taking a GLP-1 could be someone who needs to lose weight cause they have heart disease. And so I just think it’s a pretty hyper-personal question.”
Sara Haines Argued Questions About Weight Are Fair Game for Certain People; Sunny Hostin Mostly Disagreed
After the clip rolled, Sara Haines argued the question leaned towards fair game, saying, “Presidential health has been a conversation here at this table for 10 years.” She pointed out, “We’ve talked and analyzed everything from mental capacity, to physical stamina, to people aging.”
Haines then declared, “GLP-1s are turning into this wonder drug, so I think it’s something he might wanna get used to. As someone who is a front-runner in the democratic party. Someone that people revere and love. He’s gonna be asked those things. Whether it’s fair or not, this is the world we live in.”
Sunny Hostin countered, “I hate when you hear someone say, ‘This might be an inappropriate question, but let me go ahead and ask.’ But I agree with you, a presidential candidate’s health is important. He is is governor, that part is important. He looks slimmer.”
Guest co-host Savannah Chrisley chimed in, “I’m in the business of selling GLP-1s. So there is no shame around it.” She added, “People do it for health-related reasons. I personally did it because I was pre-diabetic.”
