TLC star Amy Slaton is officially a bride. The “1000-Lb. Sisters” personality married Brian Lovvorn in a Halloween-themed ceremony at the historic Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky, a venue famously rumored to be haunted. The couple, who first got engaged inside the padded room of a haunted house, carried their love of spooky traditions into their big day. “My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” Amy, 38, told People magazine. “I’m getting my happily ever after!”
A Victorian-Inspired Halloween Celebration
As per the Photos published by People, the cozy ceremony reflected the couple’s creative spirit and love for vintage style. Amy described the theme as “Victorian meets light gray meets dusty blue and white.” Her handmade artwork adorned the venue, complemented by celestial touches and “moons everywhere.”
“I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting,” Amy says.
“But selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge.” She adds that she always knew her close friend Ollisha Davis, affectionately known as Lee Lee, would be her maid of honor.
At Lovvorn’s request, Amy dyed her hair a “special color” for the occasion. Earlier this year, she shared, “Brian wants me to have pink hair for the wedding, and I want to have a Victorian-style updo.” Her gown, featuring intricate floral and vine beading, added a soft, romantic touch to the spooky celebration.
The Ceremony & Reception Details
The couple chose to see each other for the first time during the wedding processional, making their vows even more heartfelt. Their close friend Billy, who also officiated Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham’s 2022 ceremony, presided over the emotional exchange.
“Getting married means that I’m no longer lonely because I’ve discovered my soulmate,” Amy told people. “Brian is my happy place.” She continues, “He inspires me to be a better version of myself. He prioritizes me and my boys, putting our needs before his own.”
After saying “I do,” the newlyweds celebrated with a cozy, country-style reception featuring barbecue pork, country-fried steak, and a gorgeous geode-inspired wedding cake. As per People, Guests also enjoyed cupcakes in three flavors: bananas and cream, cookies and cream, and salted caramel dark chocolate.
The couple got engaged in winter 2024 at Henderson Haunts in Kentucky, with Amy’s sisters, Tammy and Misty, there to witness the special moment. Lovvorn popped the question with a gothic skeleton-hand ring, telling Amy, “My love for you is crazy, it’s scary how compatible we are.”
