“90 Day Fiancé” star Jenny Slatten’s family is facing another heartbreaking setback as she continues to battle ALS.
Slatten’s daughter recently took to TikTok to share a devastating update about her mother and Sumit Singh, revealing that Singh’s visa interview did not go as the family had hoped.
“The update was exciting and it’s not so exciting anymore,” she began.
The Visa Was Denied
According to Slatten’s daughter, Singh attended his visa interview, but his application was denied. The setback comes as the family has been hoping to get Singh and Slatten to the United States.
“Don’t worry. It’s not the end of it. We aren’t giving up.”
Slatten’s daughter said she is now contacting her senators in an effort to find another way to bring Singh to the United States. She said she hopes an emergency humanitarian visa could provide a possible path forward.
She also became emotional while discussing her mother’s condition, revealing that Slatten’s health has continued to deteriorate.
“My mom is getting weaker. She’s getting weaker in her spine and her neck and her hands,” she said before pausing as she became emotional.
Despite the latest setbacks, Slatten’s daughter made it clear that she intends to continue fighting for her mother and Singh.
“We are not giving up. I’m going to fight tooth and nail to get them both here.”
She also asked supporters to continue keeping the family in their thoughts.
“If you know anything about me, I’m not giving up. There’s no way in hell that I’m giving up on this. So please continue to pray.”
“Please keep putting that good vibes into the air,” she added.
“Let’s just keep pushing. I will let you guys all know when I need your help, and I’m sure it will be very soon. Thank you for all of the love and support.”
Slatten & Singh Recently Gave an Update
The emotional update came shortly after Slatten and Singh shared another difficult update about her health.
In a series of videos posted to Instagram Sunday, Singh revealed that Slatten has now lost the ability to speak amid her battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as ALS.
Singh asked his wife if she wanted to say something to their fans. Slatten slowly responded, “No, I can’t talk.”
“Unfortunately, the ALS is progressing and it’s starting to show more in her talk, like, it’s hard for her to talk now,” Singh explained.
He also said Slatten is having increasing difficulty walking and maintaining her balance.
“I feel like it’s more about Jenny losing strength in her backbone and neck and all … her spine, which is making it difficult for Jenny to balance while she’s walking or doing anything,” he said.
Singh has previously expressed his hope that Slatten could return to the United States for treatment. However, the couple has been reluctant to have her travel without him.
Singh explained that if Slatten returns to the U.S. without him, they worry they could be separated.
“If I don’t get the visa, it means that we will be apart forever,” he said. “This is a reason Jenny doesn’t want to go to America without me.”
For now, Slatten’s daughter is determined to keep fighting for both of them as the family navigates the latest developments.
