‘Sister Wives’ Star Pens Heartbreaking Letter to Late Son 2 Years After His Passing

“Sister Wives” star Janelle Brown went through the one thing no parent ever hopes to experience: the loss of her child. Two years after the passing of her son, Garrison Brown, the reality star shared a deeply personal letter written to her late son.

Janelle Brown Remembers Son Garrison

Janelle, who shared son Garrison with her ex-husband, Kody Brown, took to social media on Thursday, March 5, to share a heart-wrenching letter written to the former Nevada Army National Guardsman.

“Hi sweetheart,” Janelle began, alongside a photo of Garrison in his military uniform. “I’ve felt you around today. This is my favorite picture of you. You were so happy. I had protected this day on my calendar for weeks. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I wanted the ability to choose when the day arrived.”

She continued, “It turned out the movers I hired to help me bring the big things from storage to the new house could only move me today.”

Janelle explained in her letter to Garrison that the movers created a much-needed distraction for her on the difficult day.

“I think it was the perfect thing. I was so busy, but it was also significant to me that today would have signs of the new chapter, the new life that has begun for me since you left,” she wrote. “I love you always, Garrison.”

Garrison Tragically Passed Away at Age 25

Garrison died by suicide on March 5, 2024.

Police in Flagstaff, Arizona, confirmed the news to Life & Style at the time, saying, “It is with great sadness I confirm Mr. Robert Garrison Brown was located in his residence deceased, as a result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Garrison’s brother, Gabriel Brown, discovered his body inside his Flagstaff, Arizona, home after Janelle asked him to check on his brother.

In addition to Garrison and Gabriel, the former couple share sons Logan and Hunter, as well as daughters Savanah and Madison.

“Janelle and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” Kody shared in a statement via Instagram at the time. “Our loss will leave such a big hole in our lives, that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
