Maddie Brush Shares Emotional Tie to Her Brother Garrison
In a clip of the Oct. 12 episode of “Sister Wives” (via Us Weekly), Maddie Brush surprises her family with the news that she is pregnant with her fourth child. Surrounded by her mom, Janelle Brown, and former sister wife Christine Brown Woolley, she also shares the sweet announcement that her baby has a due date of March 4 or 5.
March 5 is a particularly significant day for the Brown family. On March 5, 2024, Janelle and Kody Brown’s son, Garrison Brown, passed away at the age of 25.
The family tears up when they realize that it’s a special sign from Garrison. “This is exciting news, and it’s a surprise,” Christine shares in a confessional. “The baby is due on the day that Garrison passed away. Isn’t that crazy? It’s, like, full [circle].”
Janelle admits she’s just as excited when her daughter shared the news. “I’m actually so excited. When she told me, it’s cool because it coincides with Garrison’s death. It’s the date of Garrison’s death is her due date, so it’s cool.”
Maddie’s Baby Name Is a Heartfelt Nod to Garrison
Maddie and her husband, Caleb Brush, announced on Instagram that they had welcomed a daughter named Emilia Estelle Brush on March 14. Although she was not born on the day Garrison had died, she paid homage to her brother with her daughter’s name.
“Absolutely worth the wait, Miss Emilia Estelle Brush has finally made her grand entrance! Our sweet girl took her time, keeping us all in suspense, but when she decided it was time—she didn’t waste a second. Born on 3/14, she arrived absolutely perfect. We are completely smitten with our newest little love,” Maddie captioned her image of her newborn.
According to Us Weekly, a fan in the comment section wondered if Emilie’s middle name, Estelle, was in tribute to Garrison.
“I love her name, especially Estelle. Is it like a tribute to Garrison since Estelle means Star in Latin,” the fan wrote. Maddie replied, “That is exactly what it is.”
