It’s a high school reunion on “American Idol” tonight, as the Top 5 on “American Idol” season 24 will be performing duets with former contestants. Yes, the Class of 2006 is having a reunion, so some familiar faces will be taking the stage tonight on “American Idol” 2026. We will also have some familiar faces popping in this week as guest mentor and guest judge: Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul. It’s a big week, as the season 24 finalists will be determined when all is said and done. What can we expect for the Class of 2006 Reunion Night? Last Time on ‘American Idol’
Last week on “American Idol” season 24, the Top 7 took on Taylor Swift Night and a second song, which featured an artist from California. After watching some pretty amazing performances, it was time for the voting results. America had voted live during the show, and it was time for the Top 7 to become the Top 5. Ryan took the stage and delivered the results.
After America’s votes were tallied, we had to say goodbye to both Daniel Stallworth and Brooks Rosser. This one seemed to shock everyone, as the fans were definitely in an uproar online after the show. Everyone seemed to think Brooks was going to be in the finale, so it was shocking to see him eliminated so early.
Top 5 Will Perform Two Songs
We have a jam-packed night of performances again on “American Idol” season 24. First up, the show will be celebrating its 20th high school reunion.
This means some fan-favorite Idols from the class of 2006 (Taylor Hicks, Paris Bennett, Elliot Yamin, Kellie Pickler, and Bucky Covington) will be returning. These artists will be taking the stage and performing a duet with the Top 5.
In addition to these special duet performances, the Top 5 will be joined by some of the “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancers, as they look to spice up their performances.
What Else To Know for Tonight on ‘American Idol’
The first thing to know for tonight is that two more singers will be eliminated. After all the fun of the class reunion and the “DWTS” crossover comes to an end, Ryan will deliver the live voting results again, and yes, another two singers will be sent home. We made our predictions earlier on who we think it might be.
In addition to the contestants from 2006 returning to the show, we are also going to see some other very familiar faces return to the show tonight: Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.
Ryan made the big announcement during last week’s show. Both of the OG judges will be making their way back to “American Idol.” For their appearances, Randy will be serving as a mentor for the Top 5 artists. Then Paula will be joining the current “American Idol” judges at the judges’ table. She will serve as a guest judge for these Top 5 performances tonight.
For the time being, ABC has not revealed any spoilers about the song lists for tonight’s Top 5 performances. They usually release these closer to the show’s debut, so we will update when they are available.
