Over the past couple of weeks, we have seen the Top 20 on “American Idol” season 24 sing for your votes in Hawaii. After witnessing some pretty amazing performances, we now wait for the “American Idol” results to see who makes it into the Top 14. Before that takes place, we are taking a look at these hopefuls and doing some power rankings for the top 20 singers on “American Idol” season 24.
1. Brooks Rosser
There was something very special about this performance. His voice is so unique, and I think people will be cheering for him this season.
2. Rae Boyd
Rae took a classic song that has been performed so many times and made it her own. This performance was so good, and her vocals were even better.
3. Keyla Richardson
Keyla has gotten a lot of hype this season, and I haven’t fully gotten it yet. However, this performance finally made me see it. So, so good!
4. Braden Rumfelt
I felt Braden fell back some during his Ohana performance. However, this one was strong again, and I just think the voters are going to eat him up.
5. Jordan McCullough on ‘American Idol’
Jordan takes us to church with each performance. His vocals are always so good, and he never seems to miss!
6. Kyndal Inskeep
I like Kyndal’s voice. She sang that original song, which won everyone over. Now this seemed to be lacking for me, but her voice is still so cool to listen to.
7. Julián Kalel
Same story as Kyndal. Great original song that won everyone over, but then this one was lacking for me. However, he is a great singer.
8. Chris Tungseth on ‘American Idol’ Season 24
On the flip side, Chris was lacking in Ohana performance for me. However, this was a subtle but very good performance from Chris during the Top 20 week on “American Idol” season 24.
9. Genevieve Heyward
I feel Genevieve is that silent, but deadly kind. She seems to be flying under the radar, but I think she will rise more and more as the season continues.
10. Philmon Lee
Can Philmon work past those nerves? They seem to be getting worse as each week progresses, but this was a great performance from him.
11. Jesse Findling
He’s sweet and innocent, so people will like him. His voice is great, and the stutter is the backstory that will win over more people.
12. Hannah Harper
Hannah needs to amp it up. She almost seems like she is singing, but is not that interested in being there. It’s effortless for her, but I need more emotion or something with these performances.
13. Ruby Rae
I really enjoyed her voice on this song choice. There were some points that stood out to me, and I was ready to move her up the list, but then others were not as great.
14. Kutter Bradley
He’s the type of singer who will get all the girls voting for him, especially in the country genre. He won me over some more during this performance.
15. Lucas Leon
I’m going to put Lucas and the next guy, Jake, in the same category. They are good-looking guys, have good voices, and play the guitar. The girls will love both of them, but still looking for that oh-wow type of performance.
16. Jake Thistle on ‘American Idol’ 2026
See above.
17. Makiyah Mustiful
She moved up big time during the Ohana performance, but then this one was just meh to me.
18. Daniel Stallworth
While Lionel Richie was loving his rendition of this song, it did put Daniel on my radar, but not enough to move him up any higher.
19. Madison Moon
She took a risk with this song choice. While she sounded good on it, nothing stood out to me about it.
20. Abayomi
Again, Abayomi is young. I think she has a good voice, but I just don’t think she’s ready yet.
Who do you think are the best singers for the Top 20 on “American Idol” season 24?
