We watched the Top 7 on “American Idol” season 24 perform two times last night on ABC. It was Taylor Swift Night, which brought out some amazing performances. When all was said and done, Ryan Seacrest revealed the results, and another two contestants were sent home. Now we are left with the Top 5 on “American Idol” season 24. We are taking a look at these hopefuls and doing some power rankings for the Top 5 singers on “American Idol” season 24.
1. Jordan McCullough on ‘American Idol’
There definitely is a battle for this top spot, but I just had to give it to Jordan this week. He performed two songs, and he nailed both of them. He has a way of taking on any song and making it a standout performance. Jordan’s voice is so solid, and I truly believe he should be the winner of this season. There is just something special when he sings.
2. Keyla Richardson
Not to take anything away from Keyla and her amazing voice. Both of them feel like they are taking us to church when they perform. If Keyla is announced the winner of “American Idol” season 24, I would not be upset. However, after last night’s performances, I have to put Jordan in the top spot. I feel Keyla is just as worthy of that top spot, but it can only go to one of them.
3. Hannah Harper
Hannah has been a standout this entire season. I feel like, since her audition, people have been wanting to give her the crown. She definitely has the fans out there, and she does have an amazing country voice. Nothing against her, but I just think Jordan and Keyla have better voices. Regardless of that, I think Hannah can go on to have a successful career in the country music scene. Many “American Idol” finalists have gone on to do that, even without winning.
4. Braden Rumfelt on ‘American Idol’
This has been a rollercoaster ride of a season for Braden. I feel like he has taken the top spot in these power rankings at times. Then he has gone down and back up. He is at #4 this week, but only because the people in the top three spots are amazing. I think Braden did an awesome job this week. His song choices were outstanding, and I felt like this was the Braden we all fell in love with after his audition.
5. Chris Tungseth
To be honest, I didn’t think this last spot would go to Chris. Like many fans, I thought the other spot in the Top 5 on “American Idol” 2026 would go to Brooks. However, Chris is filling out the Top 5. I felt like he had a decent night last night. Showed some signs of the singer I loved in the auditions. I still feel the others are ahead of him, and he takes the #5 spot in our Power Rankings.
