Vanna White revealed the special ringtone she uses for “American Idol” host and her “Wheel of Fortune” co-host Ryan Seacrest. At the end of the February 17 episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” Seacrest pointed out, “We were backstage before the show, and Vanna’s phone kept ringing songs, like your ringtones were songs.”
White explained, “I have ringtones for all of my friends and people.” When she asked Seacrest if he wanted to know what song she chose for his ringtone, he was caught off guard by her answer in the best way possible.
White Surprises Seacrest by Revealing Her Custom Ringtone
White went on to say that her daughter Gigi’s ringtone is “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, and her son Nikko’s is “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.
“Yours is ‘You’ve Got a Friend In Me’ by Randy Newman,” White revealed, an iconic song many people know from the movie “Toy Story.”
“Aww. Thank you so much,” Seacrest told White before giving her a hug. As he waved goodbye to the camera, he sounded like he was getting choked up. “That’s so sweet. I didn’t know that. I would’ve called. That’s so sweet.”

“Always such a fun time here in Ko Olina,” Seacrest began with White at his side. “In fact, look who is joining us on the beach. A national treasure. Vanna White.”
The crowd behind them erupted into thunderous cheers for the legendary host.
“So, I know you’ve been watching since the beginning of ‘Idol,’ are you enjoying tonight?” Seacrest asked.
White replied, “I am so enjoying this. There’s so many talented people here, I cannot believe it is so much fun.”
“Well, I’m so excited to get to work with you, and I thought maybe we can work together right now, so would you like to help me with the next finalist introduction?”
“Absolutely!” White told her co-host before the finalist was introduced using letter cards, an adorable wink to “Wheel of Fortune.”
White Reveals Her Tradition With Seacrest on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
White gave fans a glimpse of what it’s like behind-the-scenes of “Wheel of Fortune” before taping an episode with her co-host.
“I’ve known Ryan for over 20 years, but I’ve never worked with him until last year,” White told PEOPLE of Seacrest, who took over hosting “Wheel of Fortune” from Pat Sajak after he announced his retirement in June 2023. “He has great energy, and he wants to do a great job. I mean, when he first started, he goes, ‘Look, I can never replace Pat Sajak. I’m just going to go in and do the best job I can.’ And that’s what he’s done.”
The pair, who also co-host “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” have even developed an adorable tradition backstage.
White explained, “Before we go out, I turn to him and say, ‘Do I have lipstick on my teeth?'”
