The remaining singers were taking on Disney Night on “American Idol” season 24 tonight on ABC. The Top 9 on “American Idol” 2026 were singing some of your favorite Disney songs from some of your favorite Disney movies. Braden Rumfelt has been one of the standouts this season, and I was beyond excited to see what he was going to pull out for this Disney Night performance on “American Idol” 2026. Check out the Braden Rumfelt performance video from tonight below in our “American Idol” spoilers.
Last Week on ‘American Idol’ Season 24
For this performance last week on “American Idol” season 24, Braden sang “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. He normally takes on those ballads, especially by some powerful female singers. So, to switch it up, he wanted to do a more upbeat song.
It definitely was a more fun song and performance. I think Braden is one of the standouts this season, also. He has a way of drawing you in, and the tone of his voice is different and enjoyable.
Disney Night on Idol
Braden said that he was busy screaming on rollercoasters, so now his voice is strained. He brought his sister with him to Disneyland. He kept forgetting the lyrics during rehearsals, as he was nervous being in front of Jennifer.
For his performance, he sings “Remember Me” from “Coco.” I normally like Braden, but this song started very slowly for me. His voice wasn’t working on the lyrics either. Something about it was off. He then hit a big note in the middle, and it felt good again. It was a very high note, but then he sounded off again after that. This was not one of my favorites from him.
For the judges, Carrie said he has such a great “getting into character” presence when he sings. It’s pretty captivating to watch, and a cool talent that he has. Jennifer said she is so proud of him. He is a star in many ways. He brought us into him, and she felt like she was in the scene of the movie. Luke said that was a very challenging song. That was tender and a lot of movements, and he did a great job creating the mood. Lionel said he did so well on that. That was so tricky, and thank god he remembered the lyrics.
What did you think of Braden’s performance on “American Idol” tonight?
