Following the passing of Ozzy Osbourne on July 22, 2025, his widow, Sharon Osbourne, has decided to sell the Los Angeles home they shared together. An incredible property in an impressive neighborhood, Sharon has put the residence on the market for $17 million.
“The Osbournes bought the circa-1920s home in 2015 for $11.85 million, according to property records,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “They first contemplated selling the Hancock Park estate before Ozzy’s death, listing it for $18 million in July 2022, then lowering the price to $17.5 million before pulling it off the market.”
The WSJ notes that “[a]t the time, they were considering a full-time move to the U.K., where they own an estate in Buckinghamshire, but decided against it, according to Jonah Wilson with Carolwood Estates, who shares the listing with colleague Josh Greer.” As it stand, the agents say that “Sharon is currently splitting her time between Los Angeles and the U.K.”
The Home Boasts ‘Softness,’ ‘Warmth’ & ‘Over-the-Top Glamor’
“Fine historical homes are so rare in Los Angeles,“ listing agents Jonah Wilson and Joshua Greer of Hilton & Hyland said in an email to Mansion Global when the home was on the market in 2022. “This is why connoisseurs of these of properties gravitate to Hancock Park, where many of our most significant historical houses are located. It is a wonderful neighborhood with a rich history. This property in particular has been maintained and restored to perfection.“
“The Osbournes’ estate is especially appealing because all the modern luxuries have been added—features expected today like a big warm family kitchen and large modern bathrooms,“ Wilson and Greer added. “Sharon has incredible style. She doesn’t compromise…There is a softness and warmth to the house, along with a touch of over-the-top glamor. She has elevated and improved a historical house. Not many people can pull that off.“

While the Osbournes “spent several years renovating the house [and] preserving its early 20th-century character and architecture,” per the WSJ, they also kept up a “tradition [that] was started by the home’s previous owner, radio host Frank Bresee.” When visitors check out the residence’s theater room, they can check out “signatures of stars who visited the home — including Elvis Presley, Mel Tormé and Natalie Wood — [which] appear above the fireplace.”
Other perks of the Mediterranean-style house — which dates back to 1929, “and was designed by architect A.K. Kellogg, who is responsible for a number of homes in the neighborhood” — include “[p]eriod details such as the ornate, carved doorway, fireplaces and custom millwork remain,” Mansion Global explains.
As for “[m]ore modern amenities,” Mansion Global points out the chef’s kitchen, which is “complete with top-of-the-line appliances and breakfast nook with a pink banquette aside green chairs, as per listing photos. It opens to the family room and an outdoor dining area with a pizza oven and barbecue.”
“The primary bedroom suite was expanded by the Osbournes, and now includes two bathrooms and dressing rooms,” per Mansion Global. “Four additional ensuite bedrooms can be found on the upper level, plus a separate guest apartment above the garage. There’s also an elevator.”
When the new owners wander outside, they’ll find a pool, which Mansion Global says is “covered in hand-laid mosaic tile surrounded by manicured lawns and gardens.”
