It looks like science and technology are meeting cooking tonight on “America’s Culinary Cup,” as Padma Lakshmi is putting these chefs to the test. We are down to seven remaining chefs, and they will continue working on the 10 Culinary Commandments. The next one: science! Watch with us tonight during our “America’s Culinary Cup” 2026 live recap and see who got eliminated on “America’s Culinary Cup” tonight with us.
The Gastronomic Gauntlet on ‘America’s Culinary Cup’
We got to see the eight chefs in action last week, as they were tasked with creating a good dessert and an evil dessert. The evil dessert consisted of adding an ingredient that wouldn’t typically be in desserts. Chris, who was voted least likely to win this show by his peers, got to choose the ingredients they would be baking with. In the end, Diana Dávila ran out of time and could only serve one dessert. That hurt her overall score, and she was eliminated.
Now, the seven remaining chefs will be tasked with merging food and science. They will battle in the most strategic cook-off yet. The chefs will have to showcase different molecular gastronomy techniques while also creating as many dishes as they can in five hours. The fight to be named the winner of “America’s Culinary Cup” season 1 continues tonight, but who got eliminated on “America’s Culinary Cup” tonight? Find out with our Live Recap below!

Next Commandment
The final seven chefs arrive in the kitchen, and the board gives them a clue, as they are thinking science will be involved tonight. The judges arrive, and tonight’s Culinary Commandment is Culinary Science and Technology. For this challenge, they want to see how well they can showcase these ten advanced techniques:
- Dehydration
- Spherification
- Foams
- Flash Freezing
- Carbonation
- Gels
- Smoke Infusion
- Powderizing
- Sous Vide
- Compression
Padma said their strategy will be just as important as their food. They are going to have five hours to create as many dishes as they want. The chefs must incorporate one of the techniques into each dish. They can incorporate more than one, which would score them more points. At the end of five hours, the chef with the most points will win and get a big advantage in the next Culinary Commandment. The chef with the lowest score will be eliminated.
The challenge is going to be divided into two halves, with 2 and a half hours for each half. Chris said this is a points challenge. The more dishes you can make, the more points. He is going to try to get as many dishes as possible. Meanwhile, Beverly is going more towards perfect technique than more plates.
Bells Ringing
When the chefs finish a dish, they ring their bell, and the judges will come over to taste and score it. The leaderboard is going to be updated as the judges taste these dishes. Buddha is done first, and ended up with 54 points to lead the pack.
Chris got the next dish done and ended up with 77 points. He takes over the lead. The chefs start moving along, as Katie and Keith now have dishes finished. It seems like, as each chef finishes, they take over the leaderboard. The time is running down in the first half, and we have chefs without any dishes served.
The time runs out on the first half. We actually haven’t seen a dish from Cara or Beverly tonight. At the break, we have Chris leading with 206 points (he has served 3 dishes). Keith is right behind him with 169 points.
Second Half Starts
Halftime is done, so the chefs have another 2 1/2 hours to cook dishes. Chris is going to continue putting out dishes, but it looks like other chefs will be joining him in his technique. He is worried that the people not putting up dishes yet are going to have a ton of techniques in one dish, so he knows he needs to keep pumping out the dishes.
Cara finally gets a dish completed. The judges seemed to love it, and Padma said it was chock-full of techniques.
As the chefs have their dishes judged, they seem to take over the leaderboard. However, Beverly still hasn’t completed a dish yet. The others are all pumping out dishes left and right now.
The bells don’t seem to be stopping. The chefs want to stay safe, so they’re just cooking and cooking on “America’s Culinary Cup” season 1. Beverly gets a couple of dishes out, but she’s so far behind that she has to play catch-up big time.
Time to Play Catch-Up
There are only 30 minutes left, so the chefs are trying to get dishes out. The judges are tasting all of these dishes. Padma says she can’t think anymore. She is just full.
The clock is running down, so the chefs are trying to get some final dishes (and points) done. The time is up, so now the judges have to go around and taste them all. Keith and Beverly both have two dishes up, and only 24 points between them.
Results on ‘America’s Culinary Cup’
During the five hours, the chefs served up 40 dishes! Now it’s time to see that final leaderboard:
- Buddha – 710 points
- Cara – 659 points
- Chris – 595 points
- Katie – 493 points
- Matt – 445 points
- Keith – 421 points
- Beverly – 362 points
Buddha wins this challenge, and he gets an advantage for the next commandment. Bevetly ended up on the bottom, which means she has been eliminated tonight! She was voted most likely to win last week, and now she has been eliminated tonight. She tried to do too much with her dishes tonight, and should have just gotten more dishes out!
