Get to Know the Cast of Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition — Q&A

A new show — “Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition” — is coming to Food Network and Magnolia Network. You can get to know some of its cast members courtesy of a fun Q&A posted on Instagram.

Oliver Hudson will host, while Gale Gand, and Michael Ford will act as judges on the intriguing festive series. They’ve been subjected to a set of quickfire “this or that” questions — all related to baking — ahead of its much-anticipated premiere.

The Trio Were Asked Some Very Important Questions

The host and two judges were asked the same set of nine questions, with each question consisting of two culinary options from which they had to choose their favorites.

These were the nine options each individual was given; Croissant or pain au chocolat, milk chocolate or dark chocolate, pie or cake, chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin, cheesecake or flan, churros or beignets, coffee with dessert or coffee in dessert, chocolate candy or sour candy, and ganache or mousse.

While it’s safe to say the trio tended to choose similarly (with the likes of beignets, coffee in dessert, and chocolate candy proving universally popular with them all), there were some differences of opinion (for example, Hudson and Gand chose pain au chocolat, while Ford chose croissant because it’s the only one of the two options he could pronounce).

The 54-second Q&A video was posted to the Food Network’s Instagram account, where its 13 million followers had their say.

One follower wrote, “This is fun !! 😀”

A fan of Michael Ford’s said, “Love it. Can’t wait to watch. Excited to see you, brother!”

Someone else commented, “Good things, good things! ❤️”

You’ll need to watch the video to see how Hudson, Gand, and Ford answered in full.

What Is the New Food Network Show All About?

The new show will comprise four episodes. In it, contestants will compete in a series of four challenges that will ultimately see them building their own gingerbread world.

The first structure will be a quaint little gingerbread house. However, the more advanced challenges will see all manner of magical structures added to each contestant’s tasty festive world.

Of course, there will be eliminations along the way. It’s up to the contestants to impress the judges — and guest judges, of which there will be a few — with the most elaborate gingerbread structures to stay on the show.

“Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition” premieres on Monday, November 17 at 9|8c. It’s on Food Network and Magnolia Network. However, it can also be streamed the next day on HBO Max and Discovery Plus.
