John Cusimano just gave Rachael Ray a sweet birthday shoutout, and he brought out the classic photos to prove it.

In a post dated August 26, John Cusimano shared birthday message to his wife, celebrity chef Rachael Ray. He revealed just how much he treasures their relationship in an Instagram post.
Cusimano wrote, “Happy Birthday to my one and only, Rachael Ray.” The statement was accompanied by two snapshots of the couple in the early days of their relationship.

Ray famously admitted in a People Magazine interview that she was surprised that Cusimano knew how to cook after he casually mentioned making a gourmet tilapia dish with a tomatillo reduction, prompting her to offer to set him up with a friend. Once he cleared up the misunderstanding, the two ended up staying out talking until four in the morning.
“He came at a point in my life when I had decided, I’m not going to chase [marriage],” Ray explained. “I don’t think young men or women should feel pressured into marriage. You shouldn’t marry anyone, in my opinion, who you have to try hard for.”
When it came time to pop the question, Cusimano tossed the ring box at her head while she was having an overwhelming day during home renovations. “I just wanted her to stop crying,” he joked, reported People. His proposal turned her mood around, and she screamed in surprise.
The couple officially tied the knot in September 2005 at a romantic castle in Sarteano, Italy, surrounded by close family and friends. Since then, they’ve managed to balance their individual careers and a busines partnership. He is an entertainment lawyer who also fronts the rock band The Cringe and she currently produces and hosts cooking programming through her production company, Free Food Studios, after ending her syndicated daytime talk show in 2023
“It’s fun to come home after a hard day’s work and just cook dinner. The place I’m happiest is curled up in bed with Rachael and the puppy,” Cusimano added.
Ray agreed that the couple are very much homebodies. “We’re very turtlelike,” she revealed. “We listen to music, pour a glass of wine and watch ‘Law & Order.’”
